How we're using ChatGPT to track client sentiment
One of the gaps we've seen with client services over the years is the ability to track sentiment consistently. People get busy with meetings, reporting, execution, etc. that sentiment tracking becomes an afterthought. But what if you were able to see how clients were feeling each week with an automatic 1-10 score for each call? 10 being best. If calls were 9-10, they'd be in the green. If calls were 7-8, they'd be in the yellow. If calls were 6 and below, they'd be in the red. Then if they were yellow or red 3 weeks in a row, your team could jump in and do something about it before it became too late. We combined Gong with ChatGPT to automatically track our calls. The data gets outputted into Slack and also into a spreadsheet so we can: - See a quick summary of each call - See the AI-scored call - Determine if actions need to be taken Is this something you'd use?

How we're using ChatGPT to track client sentiment

So basically Gong records a transcript and ChatGPT reviews the text and performs a sentiment analysis on it to rate it, is that correct? But obviously it's just looking at text it's not able to review anything related to like, the personal tone or intonation or anything like that. Before this, how were you using Gong? Were people reviewing the calls and what actions were being taken? AFAIK it's a pricey software.
What are your long term goals with your agency?
I'm talking 10+ years out. For some, it's to sell and move onto something else. Others want to expand. Some want to take the cash flows and build other stuff while retaining the business. For me, I'm keen on building to 9 figures just because I think it'd be fun. What's the dream outcome for you?

I like my agency and am not looking to exit from it, but instead hoping to generate consistent cash flow that can be used to invest in and grow other businesses, eventually building a nice portfolio that can benefit from a network effect. Getting the agency to 8 figures would be a milestone I would have never imagined, but we still have a very long way to go...

@Eric Siu Certainly have intentions of growing the agency as well, but, I do have additional ambitions involving other businesses - so the focus will have to be balanced. Mostly it comes down to satisfying other urges and interests as well as not wanting to have all my eggs in one basket. Having just one business always has me feeling a bit uneasy.
How AI is going to change SEO and content marketing as we know it
Last week, I spoke at a conference in New York and met with the founders of SurferSEO. They showed me an AI product similar to Jasper.ai, but the catch was that they told me it could eventually research entire topical clusters and create multiple articles at once that link to each other. Here's a video of me demo'ing the simple version yesterday and talking through to my team how I'd want us to utilize this. The way I see it, sites with a high DR have a window of opportunity to attack this for a few years and reap the rewards while others sit idly. Thoughts? https://www.loom.com/share/a1bc7b2b1af04cc0af9ccb653e905bfb

Great topic Eric I'm also curious about this and to hear your thoughts on how AI will affect agencies in the mid to longterm? We are already seeing AI basically handling many of the marketing functions that agencies are doing. They can create websites, copy, content, social media images, etc. They don't do as much SEO to my knowledge, but SEO may also be changing as demand shifts from search engines to bots like chatGPT. These tools aren't perfect and often still requires someone with a professional background / knowhow to run but they are becoming more and more competent. Do you see this driving down demand for marketing services as more people become capable of doing this heavy lifting themselves? Do you see prices decreasing as technology makes it easier and easier to create, structure, and execute campaigns? I realize none of the above will happen overnight, but, curious to hear your predictions on the next few years and beyond.
Declining Business
After a terrific 2022, I started to notice things going south around October. Since then each month has been progressively worse, with more cancellations and more difficulty acquiring new customers, despite not making any significant changes to the services or pricing (if anything, changes that were made were for the better). I trying to understand how much of this is macro or something else. What are you all seeing and how are you reacting or not reacting?

Podcast or YouTube for B2b Lead Generation?
For 2023, I'm looking to get some media content creation going. I've heard from peers (including David Khim whose on here as well!) that podcasting is a great way to gain leads, mainly because by inviting high profile guests you develop relationships and get intro's, etc. I personally think YouTube videos are the future but I've heard from lot of people that while it's a great medium, but it's not bringing in leads. Thoughts from the group?
