How often should I be lifting per week. Should I be lifting heavy before practice?

@Brian Grant I have 2-3 practices a week would u recommend for workouts hitting legs heavy before one of my skates? I usually for in season do an upper body workout one day and lower body the other.

@David Turner I had same thing last year and it stinks but I would usually try to drink coffe in the morning and take a nap after school
