Generally speaking, there's lots of kinds of meditation! Besides daily state meditation with Sifu, I practice basic mindfulness meditation multiple times a week and occasionally do a yoga nidra guided mediation.

@Gregor Engler I haven't, but with a quick Google search it seems pretty cool. I want to give it a proper look-see.
Can everyone leave a interpretation on this?
Emotions: Realising that my emotions are both positive and negative, I will follow a daily habit which will encourage the development of the positive emotions and aid me in converting the negative emotions into some form of useful action. Bruce Lee

One way negative emotions can be useful is when one interprets them as signals. For some examples, anger can be a sign that you disagree with something, and fear can be a sign that you are encountering a situation that you might be hurt somehow. Impulsively reacting to negative emotions can be counterproductive, and acknowledging them and interpreting them as signals can be productive and lead to insight. Of course, the haste of life might make the latter more challenging in the moment. I think a strong strategy is not to avoid these emotions. They can provide insight, and they can be helpful to simply feel naturally, as a response of the body. I've done a good amount of public speaking, and I'm always somewhat nervous. That nervousness helps keep me on my toes. One of my favorite actors, Jeff Bridges, once said, "That anxiety is your buddy, man."

For those who’ve successfully quit drinking, how did you do it?
I started drinking a while back, since Corona I think and now that I have started my self improvement journey it's kinda hard to stop drinking all of the sudden. Do any of y'all had the same problem ?

I abused cannabis. What helped me to be free from addiction was understanding what problems it was fixing and finding a different way to fix those problems. A teacher of mine says "If you're saying goodbye to one friend, say hello to another." Also I benefitted a lot from meeting fellow addicts and hearing how they freed themselves. I didn't like the twelve step programs much, but I did like the comradery of going to meetings. With alcohol, depending on one's usage level, it is possible that quitting cold turkey is dangerous, one may need to lower one's intake bit by bit. One day at a time 🙏
