The Letting Go Method – Simplified
Alright, Wing Chun Family, today we’re diving into a powerful tool by Dr. David R. Hawkins that many overlook but has the potential to change your life. The reason this is important is that emotional and mental tensions turn to physical tensions. Physical tensions slow us down and degrade the quality and power of our Kung Fu skill. The Letting Go Method is simple but deep. Instead of pushing down our emotions or trying to mentally control them, we let them come up fully—without judgment. We feel the emotion fully, give it space, and resist the urge to change it, think of this like sensing it like a physical sensation. The magic here is that when you allow an emotion to rise to the surface and truly feel / sense it, you stop fueling it with resistance. Once you stop resisting, it naturally releases, leaving you with clarity and inner peace. Letting go is a practice. It’s not always easy, but this method aligns with our training and the principles of Wing Chun—allowing things to flow rather than forcing them. Try this today: Next time an uncomfortable feeling comes up, stop, let yourself feel it fully, and breathe. Don’t control it; don’t analyze it. Just be with it. Here's a quick video on letting go from the mind power course... enjoy :)

☯️ Letting Go 🌪️ How To Release Your Power 💥
Letting go of what is holding you back is the key to moving forward into your potential and your power. It can be physical, emotional, or mental blockages that pull us back from that which we want in our lives. If you want more loving, supportive relationships, what emotions are you holding on to that are repelling those relationships? If you want more money, what beliefs are blocking the accumulation of wealth? If you want to express your potential, what thought patterns and emotions prevent you from taking action towards your goals? Lao Tzu taught us that everything we want in life comes from letting go. This never made any sense to me, until I realized that I was the blockage to everything that I desired in my life. I had to let go of lack. I had to let go of betrayal. I had to let go of doubt and fear, before I could fully step into a sense of freedom, power, flow and belief in myself. I was sitting on my balcony in Cyprus doing a meditation. Long story short, at the end of the deep meditation, I had let go of a major anger/resentment inside of myself. When I got up, and walked towards the beach, I felt like I was floating. The weight that had come off my shoulders, literally made me feel lighter. When I got to the ocean, I dived in and I felt like I was flying through the water. It was an incredible sensation. When my father died, I got divorced and broke my ankle, all in the same month, a lot of the grief and negative emotions came up to play. The skill of letting go helped me to transcend all these emotions within less than a month. To be honest with you, I felt unstoppable. Now you may be wondering, how does this relate to Kung Fu? Kung Fu is about the expression of your potential. Kung Fu is about being the greatest version of yourself. And if you’re holding on to negative emotions, unsupportive thought patterns, false beliefs, toxic relationships, then you are blocking the greatest version of yourself. Learning to let go is one of the greatest skills that you can ever develop, and what you realize as you get better at it, is that it’s actually quite a natural condition.
