Hi friends! I’m so thrilled that JF has created this space for us to communicate, share experiences, learn from each other and chat about all things GUT health! My name is Britni Martinelli, and I am from St. Louis Missouri! I am a functional nutritionist and enjoy spending my time mainly working with the metabolic system and gut microbiome! I LOVE to do recipe creation, it’s my true passion! I started off in dental school and after 2 years of practice, decided the cold, A/C artificial light toxic environment was NOT for me! I perused my degree in nutrition there after and took and ran with a hybrid practice of cognitive nutrition and gut health after curing myself from a parasite infection obtained in Venezuela 8 years ago! You can find me chasing the sunshine, doing breathwork, cooking healthy versions of non-traditionally healthy meals 😄, singing and dancing on the daily :) I believe true health is different for each individual and stems from the answer to the following question; “what does wellness look like to me?” Me being YOU! What Are You Committing to Your Health Daily?
Word of encouragement as we wrap up the week! What are your non-negotiables? For myself, movement is a staple. 10k steps is my minimum to reach daily, ideally during two walks: one upon waking and one after dinner to calm my nervous system in the AM and support my blood sugar post-dinner. I also aim for 3-4 strength training sessions a week. 🏋🏻‍♀️ Drinking 3-4 liters of filtered, mineralized water is crucial. 💦 Reading for 20 minutes daily – my current read is "How To Become Superhuman" by Joe Dispenza. Spending time in nature 🌲😌 on my walks. Leave in the comments what you are committed to! In health, JF
