In the 1-day recordings (in skool games) from August, Leila gave a great example breakdown around results/experience. 1. No results/bad experience, peeps leave 2. Good results/meh experience, peeps leave soon 3. Meh results/good experience peeps stay longer 4. Good result and good experience is gold When your peeps have a good experience and good results they stay and they tell their friends. Peeps will stay longer in a space with a good experience with iffy results than they will in a space where they get the desired result but the experience sucks. In the community centric biz model, the culture you build and experience your peeps have within your community space is directly correlated to your ltv, engagement, and churn. 👇🏻 Which number does your community fall into? What have you tried and have had work or not work to create a fantastic experience for your customers??

Wonderful, lovely @Sarah Hankins 🤗 Could you please tell me what LTV stands for? Not everybody knows these business acronyms, as you well know from me constantly asking you what these acronyms mean. 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

@Sarah Hankins Thanks for the clarity, loveliness. 🙏🏼🤗🥰
Gifting Courses
Is this already a feature and I'm missing something? Is it possible to gift a member a paid course for free? If not, could this please be a feature?

@Danny Mallinder That's not what I want to do. I want to be able to offer paid courses for free to certain members.

@Erika Kulpina You legend! 🙌🏼 Thank you so much for this info. As you seem to know this platform well... is there an instruction manual anywhere that shows absolutely everything this platform is capable of and how to do it all?
You need to have this skool plug in set up!
👇🏻 Do you ask membership questions and have it turned on for when peeps join your free community? Why or why not? 💭 What questions do you ask and why?? Here are the questions I ask, and why! 📧 I ask for their email This is imperative, or you can download the csv occasionally from skool if you prefer (or for a paid group). If for some reason you are booted from a platform or it closes down, you still have your email list which is always a way you can reach your clients! 🌱 Then I ask where they are currently at in their journey (relative to the niche the group is for). 🚀 Last question box is for where they are having issues and what do they most want from this space. 🌈 Those last two give me ideas for content/classes and mastermind topics if I need them. Bonus?! More in depth questions make it easier to spot the bots and scammers or those that aren’t a good fit for your community space… Just because someone comes to your page doesn’t mean they are the right person, and it’s better to not have everyone so that you can serve the peeps that you can actually help 😉 How has asking membership questions helped you in your community space?

@Sarah Hankins It's a valid concern, but after you join a group you get a message that you'll receive an email once admission is granted.

@Sarah Hankins Join my group to see what I mean. I'll not approve you, unless you want me to.
Free groups
What's your strategy for qualifying new members in free groups? Here's mine: I make use of the questions plugin and invite functions. The first question I ask is how they discovered the group, then I ask if they agree to the no spam policy, and lastly I ask for their email address. The no spam policy is the first thing I lead with in the Start Here pinned post. I tell them if they think their product or service will benefit the community then they need to DM me with their pitch and, if I think it's of benefit, I'll make a feature post of it. I use the invite members function to send them a joining link to the email they've provided. This way I can make sure the email they've given is legit. I also use the no chat and no post until level 2 functions. This cuts down on spam posting. What are your hints and tips for free groups?

@Sarah Hankins Lovely Sarah. Will you please tell me what VSL means? 🤔

@Sarah Hankins Thank you loveliness. Not everyone in here comes from a sales background, like me, and don't know the terminology.
Rules for this community
I'm not happy with the recent trends in this community. This is a place for genuine conversations and connections with other community owners. This is not a place for you to build your "thought leader" reputation with "4 things I learned in Bali about leadership" type posts and hollow comments. Here's the rules: 1. Don't be annoying 2. No self promotion 3. Don't use chatGPT 4. This isn't LinkedIn: Don't be a "thought leader" (see meme) 5. No engagement farming: Empty content to boost posts and get likes 6. Be positive 7. Make an effort If you see any posts/comments that break these rules - report them. If you're not sure, report them anyway. We're tightening up moderation.

@Dabara Go What about the people who have no filter and don't think twice? Does that make their posts not 'annoying'? The language for these rules is too vague. How can we possibly follow rules that we can't even agree the definition of? I give up.
