Lack of Motivation / Determination
How can I effectively engage athletes who seem to lack intrinsic motivation and are only showing up because their parents told them to? As a coach, how can I help them connect with a deeper purpose and remind them why they’re here? I’ve tried using external motivators, like rewards, but I want to find more meaningful ways to inspire them.

Get inside their world and ask them questions about things that motivate them and compare it to the workout. Show them how one drill could help them beat out other athletes and be the best. Or catch them at the end of the workout and explain the difference of how they are right then verses how they were when they came in. Movement helps with everything
Gas vs Brakes
The most important skill to understand. This simple skill makes or breaks athleticism. If the athlete has it (we educate and enhance). If the athletes doesn’t have it (we educate and improve). This should be the very first movement pattern diagnosed with any athlete through a variety of different skills. ✅ Let’s get it

If you haven't read the book Atomic Habits by James Clear - read it. (Thank me later) Reps! It’s really that simple, just get reps. By repeating an action, a particular nuero-circuit in the brain becomes activated. That neuro-circuit then becomes associated with that specific action. Meaning, every rep changes the brain structure to become more efficient at that action. Reps are a critical activity in skill acquisition. The brain is designed to become more efficient at the actions done most. #1 We must know and understand the right actions (movements/positions) to be repeated #2 We must repeat those actions. Kids today are severely lacking repetitions leading to bad actions (movements/positions). Athletic-Performance Coaches will play a critical role in restructuring the Athletes of the future!

@Andrew Larson My why is to help athletes unlock the greatness within themselves and be an inspiration to people that come from why I come from. Proving that you can make a way for yourself and make other people great along the way to the top. Because at the end of the day life is about relationships and making an impact in other people life.
