I know many of our OS course parents have been waiting for a book club. Well, it’s here! What do you think about having a 30 minute informal discussion on the second Sunday morning of every month? This will be for those of you on our OS course. But I want everyone here to get your children involved in reading. So here’s what you all of you get 👇 A visual reading list and an excel sheet for you to record your child’s books. You can print the reading list and stick on the wall. If anyone’s interested in getting a Canva template to add books of your child’s choice, feel free to ask. Carrying on from comprehension challenge, it is only fair that we give our children as many avenues possible to express themselves through words, books and discussions. Why do you think state schools say that preparing for the 11 plus tests is not necessary when the primary schools don’t even teach subjects like non verbal reasoning?

I am now putting together the 5-day challenge for conquering comprehension. I know how some children struggle with this. My sons did too. I want to know what is that your child finds difficult when tackling comprehension passages. Is it the understanding of the questions? Or understanding but not getting the right answer, getting confused when they are given 3 or more choices? Or something else entirely?
