Book for the month of June - Thunder Struck by Ali Sparkes
Dear OS Parents! Hope you are having a relaxing Sunday and I am sure there would be a day out planned ahead! Thanks to the good weather! With @Sabah Hadi's encouragement, I am happy to run the book club meeting for this month. A brief about me - Juggling between multiple roles of being a mom of 3, IT professional, wife and daughter, 11+ teacher to my children and so on.... 😀 I know most of us are in the same boat travelling together! All the best to everyone in their journey! I have a boy who is going to sit for the 11+ exam this Sep and a girl who is currently in Year 3 and will start her preparations next year, after I take a break from my son's exam prep! 😀 My children suggested the below book and we are going to work as a team to make it more interesting! In fact, I might be just overlooking while they will be running the show mainly! We selected this book as it sounded quite interesting and might have lots of deep conversations ahead. Book: Thunder Struck Author: Ali Sparkes Sneak Peek into the book: What if your new best friend was a ghost? Getting struck by lightning whilst huddling under a tree isn't exactly the way 2 friends would have chosen to get out of their sports day . . .Surviving the strike makes them see life differently. A fun and fast-paced ghostly mystery with lightning strikes, floating phantoms, and four fantastic friends just trying to get on with their everyday lives . . . or deaths . . . Yes, its a sci-fi book talking about supernatural powers! Hope you find it an interesting read. Let's catch up end of this month and discuss more about the book and such paranormal powers. No worries, if you have not read this book, but we can talk about similar books which you have had a chance to read! Looking to see you all and have an interesting interaction with all lovely children! Have a lovely Day and a great week ahead! Thanks Shameem.

Book for the month of June - Thunder Struck by Ali Sparkes
Are you ready for the book club meeting on the 30th June?
How many are ready for the book club meeting on Sunday? Not this Sunday but the last Sunday of the month. The book chosen this month by the president team @Shameem Fathima and co is Thunder Struck. Has anyone read it? You might want to discuss the book with your children and they/you don't have to read it. Bonus points if you read it 🧡 You could try these types of questions... What do you think the book is about? What does the title say about the book? What genre do you think the book falls under? Have you read any other book by this author? You could go on amazon to read a blurb or to the local library and talk about the book in a little more detail. How do you discuss books with your children? We would love to hear your ideas

Book Club president team - June
Hey, OS community. We are in June and it is time to come forward to chair the presidential team and choose a time where most parents and children can join us. We had such a super time that day! I know @Mega Arumugam who loved it and @Shameem Fathima who is our champion. Both expressed interest and both would be awesome at it. Who would like to take over the book club this month⁉️ This is for our OS course parents and children but I gave a select few the opportunity to join and see what the book club was about last month. I may give some others a chance this time. If you would like to join the book club meeting - which means the OS prime course which includes these book club meetings 5-day challenges (the creative writing one is coming soon!) and our flagship parents' course, just shoot me a message. I will give you options galore! Here's a poll to choose the time. And do put your name forward if you want to become the parents and child presidential team for this month 🔺🥳🏆

Will my child pass?
Nobody knows and nobody can guarantee. This is just a test and just another school place. With the right attitude and mindset, your child will be stronger in academic skills as well as resilience, work ethic and team work. And if you are lucky to have a child who rebels, they will be better at negotiation skills. ❤️ Succeed or Learn. There’s no loss. 🏆
