Sorry for my absence
Sorry I've not been around, since Xmas I've been supposedly fighting an infection in both my feet. Antibiotics and keeping feet warm and raised for 3 weeks and yesterday was sent to my nearest A&E with what they called diabetic foot. No infection - blood test said no. Instead it's just my feet having a hissy time. Change of existing med doses, still need to keep feet raised and not spend hour after hour sitting in the same position. So now with new med doses, I'm in a lot less pain and sleeping better.

Music
Happy Thursday Warriors. I find when I'm getting anxious or angry or sad... any of those horrible feels we all hate. It's hard to snap out of them for a while . The thing that works for me is listening to music . Its hard with all the different challenges everyone faces on a daily and being mindful of how sometimes you may loose control emotionally is even harder especially around your loved ones when you just need time alone but can't have it do to needing help with care or doctors appointments ... the list goes on.. .. MUSIC is my go to. I'm rambling now but I just want to help. What's your go to? Share some of your favorite tunes and I will share mine . My go to right now when I wanna just belt out some lyrics is Monsters by Shine Down . Have a great day.

I've always had music in my life, to the point that friends can suss out my mood etc by the music I'm playing.
Fuck
I’ve broken my right shoulder I don’t even know how I’m supposed to get through this. I don’t think I’ve ever felt this disabled before

Sorry to hear your news. Hopefully the insurance company will pull their finger out sooner rather than later. I semi understand the difficulties you currently have, I regularly dislocate my wrists, shoulders and elbows and that involves days of very limited movement and activities.
Introduction
Hi all, I’m Adam,52 years old and I am a 2 time stroke survivor first stoke I was 38 years old and it left me paralysed done my entire left side. Second stroke I was 43 years old and that took my memory and my speech so I’ve had to learn everything all over again ( luckily predictive text is a lifesaver for me) Then in 2018 I suffered a mini stroke which ended up with me damaging my spine from C1 to C7. Falling out your wheelchair and landing on your head hurts like a mother 🥹 Any hoo that’s me

Welcome
Hiya 👋 New here
Hiya I'm Becca. I'm a 30 year old mum of two from Merseyside. Have been using a chair for ten years now due to living with Dopa Responsive Dystonia, Classical Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Gastroparesis, Postura Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, Complex Regional Pain Syndrom and Seizures. Was recently involved in a car accident that paralyzed my right leg. I use an electric wheelchair - had a self-propelled one for a bit but all my joints dislocate and pushing myself just dislocates my fingers. I'm an author so work from home. Hobby wise I love to paint, crochet, cross stitch, play the flute, and read. Cannot devour books quick enough 😂 Very grateful to have found this community. It looks like exactly what I was looking for. Anyway that's me hope your having a good Monday.
