👷CLASSROOM & CALENDAR UNDER CONSTRUCTION ☯️
Grand Opening 30th September. In the meantime (Monday the 23rd to Sunday the 29th of September) I will give access to all Live sessions which will be posted later today. The vision of The Wing Chun Family began with the intention to make Kung Fu and Meditation education available to everyone. Now that vision has expanded not only to this online platform but to physical locations all over the world. Over the next 20 years (and probably beyond) we will be setting up training locations (Temples) where anyone can train at no cost. We are looking for practitioners who want to spread Peace, Love and Kung Fu through Wing Chun and Meditation training. We will reveal the new structure and vision fully on 30th of September. In the meantime get involved in the community, ask questions, start discussions, jump into some live sessions and level up your skill.

This is amazing. It's some project you're taking on. I'm now on a degree in music and it's going to be intense, but I know that joining in with this will enhance that experience instead of suck time so I'm up for whatever I can fit in. Thanks for this incredible oppo.
Slow practice.
I know you guys already know about slow practice, that's the way this style of wing chung works. But try explaining how it's beneficial to other martial artists. Musicians know about it, and I am one so use it all the time, but just thought of a good metaphor so more people get the concept. It's like If someone is doing a piece of artwork on a confuser, and zoom way in to do alter something really small in the picture. When zooming back out it looks perfect. Try working on something tiny without that facility.

I actually got my kickboxing trainer to have some of the sparring sessions slow & some started to see the benefits of it. I think they've gone back to their old ways now though.

Was at home tonight and meant to join in with the meditation. Where does the time go?

Hello group. Newbie here.
And thanks to John for inviting us all to join, this looks like an awesome resource. I've dabbled in many different styles for years at a time & still don't feel like a complete martial artist. I know what's missing is the internal stuff. I've trained with Sung Wing Chun in Sheffield which is run by disciples of Chu Shong Tin. Got the basics of it. I'm sure some of the people there would like to know about this, as they'd probably welcome the extra practice. I'm back to kickboxing for a while as I want to get at least a 1st dan before I'm too old. That could happen in the next year or so. I find I can hold pads for people & while staying relaxed they hardly move while someone is wellying them with feet or hands. Confuses people who then ask if there was any power in their technique. Just the tip of iceberg for this I know.

Thanks. I have a lot of commitments at the mo, and I'll join in more as I get time.
🫶How do you guys respond when feeling sick?
Everything happens for a reason right? When I am not 100%, I meditate and allow all negativity to come up to be surrendered. Often when we are sick, there are underlying emotion/energetic blocks coming up to be let go off which manifest in the form of ‘sickness’. I also ensure that I use only positive and constructive language towards myself for example, I am in recovery mode or I am healing as opposed to reinforcing that I am sick by saying ‘I am sick’ – language is super powerful. I also visualise myself being fully healed and flood myself with bright white light further helping the surrender process and recharging me. Would love to hear how you guys feel about this and any other methods you may have.

I get meditational and tell my immune system to sort itself out. Usually helps.

It's not a reframe. I'm a qualified hypnotherapist, though I don't do much of it, and I'm a terrible hypnotic subject, but I learnt a few useful things and one of them is you can ask your subconscious to help heal and fight infections.
