Intro

My name is Chrys. I am a 45 year old paraplegic. I was born with Spina Bifida (T-11). I grew up playing basketball.(20 years) I dabbled in skiing, tennis and baseball. but nothing stuck with me like basketball did. I unfortunately stopped playing in my 20s because I couldn't find a team. Since then, I have packed on the pounds. In recent years, my health has taken a downturn (edema, mobility and arthritis). However, I refuse to back down. I'm here to regain what was rightfully mine --- my independence - my mobility - MY LIFE.

That is why I am here. I have tried and failed on my own, so I am hoping this group provides the support and stability that I need.
