Body Image Positivity

At the end of the month, I'm flying out to Chicago and driving out to Davenport, Iowa, to watch a childhood friend make his pro-MMA debut. I am very excited to see him and his family again. But I also have misgivings this is the first he has seen me since I was injured. It is most difficult for me to see people who I knew before vs people I meet after. Despite everything I am very self conscious of my disables body. Anyone else struggle with this?
