Freddie day 3 - recall/impulse control
Continuing with using different parts of walk for training - started with coming out of drive & dog on long lead out in front so too close & Freddie reacted - switched to management & walked back into drive to increase distance - spent some time slowing him to sniff & calm before setting off.
Using treats as cars approach if coming within 5metres.
Needing less prompting for waiting at gates whilst I go through first 🥳
Good recall off lead without distractions
Huge win today was when he appeared from river bank with the remains of something 😳 previously he would have eaten it & if I tried to stop him either guarded or eaten faster ( history of resource guarding ) to my surprise on the second leave it cue, he dropped it & followed me 🥳🥳🥳🥳
Aiming for leash pressure session this evening
