Happy Housekeeping #heartofthehouse Week!
If you have ever worked in hotels, you may recall the week full of celebrations dedicated to employee recognition. Ever notice how this week happens to fall just before the annual employee survey 🤨 Growing through my leadership career, I learned the behind the scenes of these once a year surveys. Poked holes in this process and now take an elevated SWAS approach to enhance engagement and performance on a regular basis throughout the year. Kind of like the TGI everyday instead of TGIF waiting for a Friday to get excited… what if instead of Housekeeping Week, there was an intentionally structured recognition program designed for teams to recognize each other in the moment of excellence? What are some of your favorite ways to recognize others? Have you ever experienced a unique way to say thank you?

The sun still shines, even on cloudy days.
Today has been an extra hot, extra sunny Summer day in Texas. Made me think, it is easy to see the light and be solar powered when the sun is shining its brightest; same as your light. When there are clouds in the sky, the sun still shines. Reminder, to shine your light through it all. Your light may ignite a spark of inspiration and give others a reason to share a smile/shine their light too. Keep smiling. Keep shining :)

Favorite-est EVER!
What comes to mind when I ask you what was one of your favorite memories ever? What makes the person you were with, the place you went, or parts of that experience so special? How can you apply this to your everyday work/life to enhance the experiences others have when they cross your path? #shareasmile

Was recently asked, Ky are you truly happy all the time? How do you still show up sincerely with a smile when you feel like you are being attacked (by vendors, employees, guests, loved ones or other leaders)? How do you choose to share a smile when you are having the worst day ever? Want to know answers to any of the above questions? Or have your own questions you’d like input on? The Butterfly Effect & The Donut Heist - Chris Rosati's Legacy
"Get a whole lot of butterflies to flap their wings." Like a butterfly flapping its wings, sharing a smile can change the world. Have you ever watched CBS Sunday Morning? Throw back to 2015, in Falls Church, Virginia, I remember part of our Sunday traditions was watching CBS Sunday morning, a refreshing positive perspective on current events. The Butterfly Effect clip was part of the episode that I remember emotionally connecting with. So much so that, I continued to read Chris Rosati's journey and found the story of his Krispy Kreme donut collaboration. Sincerely recommend you watch both of the videos attached to this post and share your comments on the questions below. What would you do with the money if a stranger gifted you $50 USD? If you had the opportunity to give a surplus of one thing away to share smiles with others, what item would you dream of giving away? #shareasmile #servicewithasmile #butterflyeffect #chrisrosatilegacy #leaveyourlegacy #donutworry #liveyourlife
