Have you ever encountered a customer who claims they have another buyer willing to pay more for an item? Here’s an effective way to respond:
Customer: "I have another buyer who will pay $_____ for it."
Your Response:
"That’s a great price! I would highly recommend selling it for that price. I'm not sure how they're able to offer so much, but I would take it.
Do you have their number? If they're paying those prices, I would be interested in selling my devices to them as well."
This approach shows your confidence in your own pricing and subtly challenges the authenticity of their claim. It's effective because it either helps confirm a genuine better offer, or it makes the customer reconsider the deal with you.
