Why I did a three day water fast
I have been hearing about this for awhile. So I did some research and decided to try it. After completing it yesterday I realized it alot easier than I thought. I already fast from 18 to 20 hours a day every day already. Some days I only eat dinner. Here's a few facts about fasting 1.insulin sensitivity, after about 12 hours of not eating your body should have most of the insulin in your blood down to normal levels. The more sensitive you are to insulin the easier it is for your body to regulate your metabolism. Inflammation will also reduce. The best part is it increases your lifespan. 2.increased mental clarity, due to an increase in ketones. Ketones provide the brain with the necessary fuel it needs to function at peak performance. 3.cellular repair, increases during fasting. Instead of using energy to create new healthy cells, the body will actually stop creating new cells and it will repair old damaged cells to be healthy again. Studies have shown that the amount of stem cells in the blood increases around the 2.5 to 3 day mark.
