Newbie Question

If you were new working with paid ads, and wanted to get better experience physically running ads as well as a case study, what would you do to get that experience? Would you run local lead ads for a service niche and use that as a case study? Would you find an affiliate product and run ads to that? What other ideas do you have.

I know working for free is what most will say, I will do that when I feel comfortable running ads on the backend of Meta Ads manager. Im looking for something to work on prior to offering free services. TIA!
