Are Google search-ads the best-bet for targeting 'luxury homeowners'?
I overlook sales for a Seattle, WA based custom-tech integration company (home automation, A/V, smart-security, networking etc.). And our company is considering and exploring options for digital advertising and marketing in general.
  • We are trying to go after the luxury homeowner market.
  • We're looking for $50k above jobs. Ideally $150k-$300k
  • The custom-integration industry is highly dependent on word-of-mouth for having a filled pipeline.
Specially for our industry, public-awareness is still a bottle-neck for what we see. Thus resulting in not enough search-volume on Google as-per our liking. And that coupled with us trying to hawk down the luxury-homeowners seems like a far-fetched idea.
There's only 1 marketing agency dedicated to purely serving our industry, which shows that there isn't much scope of advertising in the custom integration market.
I understand that Facebook ads probably won't work for us, as the people we're looking for won't be on Facebook (correct me if I'm wrong). But -
  1. Are Google search ads even worth it for trying to sell such high-ticket services?
  2. Considering Google and FB ads work great for Solar and HVAC installers, what kind of projects sizes (in terms of the budget that homeowners would usually have) should we be expecting if we try these advertising platforms for our integration firm? Are $10k to $15k still a far-fetch? Also, is it even possible to get 30+ conversions (form-fillup on landing page) per month when running Google ads, since that's the minimum requirement.
  3. What marketing strategy and medium (Google, LinkedIn, etc.) would you suggest for our particular case?
  4. Or should we avoid digital advertising and invest our marketing-budget into increasing the no. of referral-sources we have (architects, interior designers, builders, etc.)?
I'll really really appreciate it if someone can address these 4 questions individually… That'll be super helpful. Thanks :)
