Nearly there!! 10 days to go!
Look out world 😂 The last 2 weeks we’ve gone from sub zero knowledge to be about to record our trailer, 4 episodes and get the production done. No slacking now so get ready for 10 days of questions @James Burtt @Alex Chisnall 😜 We planned to launch on 1st December but that’s a Sunday…is there a best day and time to launch?

Podcast hosting sites
I’m not sure if this is a daft question or not. Feel like we are on a podcast learning rollercoaster in the last 10 days lol…do we need to have a podcast hosting platform like rss.com or Buzzsprout?

How To Find The Right Podcast Category
Pod Schooler @Gwendy Krijger-Rabbitte asked a great question the other day about how to actually find the categories that you should consider for your podcast so I wanted to share this link as a separate post. So, when choosing a category for your show there are about 100 categories and sub-categories... and choosing the right one (or right ones) can be the difference between a podcast launch that flies ✈️ and one that dies ☠️! Bit dramatic, but it is true as well! Me and @Alex Chisnall covered the importance of choosing the right category in the latest episode of the podcast (which is now No.1 in the UAE, No.1 in Malaysia, No.2 in the UK...because of being in the right categories!) which you can watch on our OFFICIAL YOUTUBE CHANNEL https://podcasters.apple.com/support/1691-apple-podcasts-categories this will show you all the main Apple Podcast categories... and all the platforms work off this - they might call it slightly different things, but this list will show you the main, top-line categories

How To Find The Right Podcast Category
Riverside and Recording across different timezones
@Alex Chisnall @James Burtt I am loving Riverside! In fact I am in love with it! Brilliant support videos too. @Emily Henaghen is in Dubai and I'm in Scotland so our podcast is recorded online - I've noticed that there are time delays when we listen back to the recording that we dont notice as much when recording - really subtle but enough to make the recording conversation sound a we bit staggered even when I go to max speed removing pauses - any ideas?
