Timeline to achieve 1 million streams

Yo! This is my first post and hopefully it's helpful to some of you. All the artists I work with always ask about what type of results to expect (fair). But honestly, it's so hard to estimate. They have to be conditioned away from strictly numbers and have faith in the long-term lifespan of a campaign. In my opinion playlisting has shifted expectations of track performance to deem streams equal success when that's not the full picture.

Maybe this helps. This track I worked on in late 2020 is sitting at 1.25 million streams. We ran a campaign for 60 days and achieved the results outlined in the first picture. Then the next 12 months (second picture) and the following 12 months (third picture) with no spending at all. This solidifies my belief that a strong foundation of data in the first 60 days can carry a song for its lifetime. More than 500k were from algorithmic playlists alone (fourth picture).

Obviously these aren't billboard numbers. For anyone who's crushed these stats, please share your road to that success, best strategies, etc. Hopefully this helps some of you in strategizing or investing in your campaigns.
