Selling physicals?

I've been working on an EP and im thinking about doing a limited run of some CDs. (50 total).

I'd likely drop it before the EP hits DSP to give an exclusive feel and really sell it as an art piece.

I was wondering if anyone has had experience doing a physical drop. Did you end up with a bunch of overhead? I love to buy CDs and Vinyl and it seems like over the last few years they have been making a comeback for music enthusiasts. Im curious to hear y'all thoughts on this, do you think physicals are viable in 2023?
