How did you find/create your team?
I've been doing this music thing for two-three years now and up to this point I've done 80% of the lifting myself. Cover art, promo, videos, submissions, etc. Right now the only thing I outsource is production and engineering. Although I'm grateful for the skill sets I have, it doesn't feel very sustainable. Im curious to hear about how you all found and cultivated your "team" especially when you don't have a lot of capital to always pay for time/services.

Selling physicals?
I've been working on an EP and im thinking about doing a limited run of some CDs. (50 total). I'd likely drop it before the EP hits DSP to give an exclusive feel and really sell it as an art piece. I was wondering if anyone has had experience doing a physical drop. Did you end up with a bunch of overhead? I love to buy CDs and Vinyl and it seems like over the last few years they have been making a comeback for music enthusiasts. Im curious to hear y'all thoughts on this, do you think physicals are viable in 2023?

Not much of a pros and cons list but this was my experience, maybe you can pull something out of it. I've had some small success, reaching out to influencers. Mind you at this point I've never ran a campaign before (if i could even call this one lol) so i was really just throwing darts in the dark lol. I have a song called One Day that has heavy funk vibes on it so i thought it would be perfect for the roller skating niche that was getting popular at the time. I reached out to a bunch of people, maybe 25 micro-influencers. Some I offered to pay for a post others I just shared the music with. After the big push, I didn't notice a direct increase in streams, but a couple of months later a micro-influencer (from a completely different niche) posted a video with my song and added it to their playlist. From there plays shot up and I was added to a bunch of other playlists. That was mid-2021 and i just past 10k on both apple music and Spotify at the end of 2022. since that initial push, I haven't marketed that song in the same capacity so a lot of those were passive streams. I know 20k total isn't a crazy amount but i was getting less than 100 plays per song before this.

@Carly B. I did some a month on playlister.club but other than that not really. I was released every other month so my efforts shifted to other songs. One day is still my biggest track though.
Your current music
I'm curious to know what you're listening to right now, why especially this one and how you discovered it ?

I've been bumping a lot of Larry June, I saw him at Smokers club 2021 before i was a fan. Then in the following months, I noticed more and more people i follow using his songs on their IG stories. I listen to his latest album and I've been hooked ever since.
