Help With 3xWeek Split: Any Tips to Optimize My Routine?
I've been doing U L U Larms for a month or so now. i have seen good progress both in strength and muscle growth
but school has come back and my parents think that the gym will negatively impact me academically. They agreed on me going 3xweek instead.
i could use my old routine that was 3xweek but i would want a better one in terms of daily and weekly volume.
as you probably know going above 5-10 sets per day wont be the best idea as i train with high intensity.
here is what I'm planning to do:
  • Weekly Volume:
right now I'm doing: 9 biceps, 10 triceps, 13 chest, 13 delts, 15 back, 24 legs (weekly sets)
I'm going to be reducing weekly volume as i cant fit all that into 3xweek. and it might benifit me in terms of growth. I'm thinking 6 biceps, 6 triceps, 8 chest, 8 delts, 10 back, 17 legs? nothing i can do feels enough so i need help on this.
  • Daily Volume:
i will be doing my best to not exceed 5-10 sets a day, doing full body.
is there any benifit to grouping muscles (still staying in that not more than 5-10 range) or should i just do 2 sets of bicep each day, 2 triceps each day, ~6 legs each day etc.
also how many total sets should i have each session? is 20 enough? or should i aim for more or less?
