Christmas Miracles are real! Crossed over 1900 tonight for the first time ever! The key factor....playing 15 | 10 time control. Before going on break last week I was just donating elo left and right by playing 10 | 0 and losing winning positions on time. Forcing myself to slow down and play these longer games helped me go on a massive 7 wins - 2 draws streak to reach this goal. Next stop 2000?!

10 days ago I crossed 1700 for the first time ever on Chess.com...and now here we are a week and a half later crossing over 1800. Consistent play, constantly reviewing my games, daily tactics, and sticking to an opening repertoire have all gone into making this possible. I hope that these lessons can help everyone here in their own journey. To easy is it to become sidetracked and play a random opening that we've only seen once on YouTube, or to just fire up blitz games and tilt off rating points for hours on end. Not every game will play into your opening prep but that's where our basic chess knowledge comes into practice. Was not expecting to climb to 1700 as fast as I have, the highest I had ever gotten on my first account was 1525. The time put in has paid off! Next stop 1800!
