If you’re struggling with meditation or new to it, try this.
Step outside for 5 minutes and just listen.
Listen to the birds. Listen to the traffic, or the leaves rustling in the breeze. Whatever sound happens to be around you. Just slow down, notice it and pay attention to it. Let it play with your eardrums like you were listening to a song you’ve never heard before.
If you realize you’ve been lost in thought and daydreaming, just start listening again.
I did this today on my back deck, listening to the birds outside, and for me it’s by far the quickest way to enter a meditative state. 🧘♂️
It doesn’t have to be any more complicated than this.
