Hello everyone.
Although I like this community, I usually don’t write due to my own shyness. 😅
I’m using Logic 10.4.5 on a mid-2012 Macbook pro, and Logic just constantly overloads. Making music is becoming hard to do when I can barely get through less than 2 seconds of audio. I have a good amount of empty storage space, as well, so it hopefully doesn’t have anything to do with that.
Logic also has a frequent tendency to crash. Especially if I’ve downloaded a new plugin. I don’t have an excessively large plugin folder, but maybe it would help to get rid of some free plugins I’ve collected. I don’t use a lot of plugins in my mixes either. Even then, in my performance meter, all processing threads hit 100% fairly quickly. Also, in the performance meter, the processing thread bar furthest to the right is always bouncing around 50% even when nothing is playing back.

I’ve been looking for answers for months. I’ve tried...
- Freezing Tracks
- Closing other applications
- Leaving ReWire off
- Increasing Processing threads to "8"
- Setting Process buffer range to “Large"
- Using Larger Buffer size for Mixing
- Turning off WIFI
- Turning Off Bluetooth
- Bouncing MIDI to Audio before mixing
I’m not sure what else to do. I’d appreciate any help.
Thanks.
