Knowledge Vs Tools
The knowledge is the power not the plugin. The plugin is just another tool in the box with a GUI and knobs and buttons. It knows nothing. It's up to the person using it to make it do what it does in a way that's pleasing to the ear and results in something that is cohesive with the rest of the tracks in the mix. Think about it this way. A hammer is a tool in the box. All it does is sit there until called upon for a specific task. The master craftsman needs to fasten one piece of wood to another. He chooses to use the hammer and some nails. He then places the nail carefully to ensure proper alignment so that maximum hold will happen between the two boards. Then starts with light taps to get it started and then drives the nail home. Does the hammer do the work? The answer is yes but not without the guidance and perfect aim of the master craftsman swinging it. When he's done, the two boards become one and the task is finished. The moral of this story is that without the knowledge of how the hammer works, the hammer just sits in the box being useless weight. Well I hope I've got my point across. What are your thoughts on this? Hope this helps. 🤠

@Jason Tufts that’s cool and good on you for that. You are definitely a Creative individual. I get how serious and soulful you are and you definitely know your stuff. I feel the same way that you do about a lot of things. I have come a long way during the recording revolution. From tape to digital. It’s all Relevant and Irrelevant. It’s not what you have, It’s how you use it. I assume you are texting from a flip phone. lol please don’t hit Jason, that was just funny to me.

@Diode J Open, Blind, Hidden and Unknown. With that being said, now you are looking thru at least two of my Johari Windows. Considering the year or so we’ve been chatting, you probably have a view of the third. But on the fourth, the world will never know. And all of this on the pinned free plugins resource post. Who knew that free plugins would have this much value?

@Phillip Patterson facts
Recording weird things.
What's the weirdest thing you've ever recorded? I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours. Lol 🤣. Mine was flies buzzing around a dog turd. It was for background sound effects at a Halloween party.
