I took me a while to find this info but I got there and it was so so satisfying. So…
Does anyone know what the “NT” on Rode mics actually means? I do.
It comes from the fact that when they first modified their mics, they flew out that quickly, they were compared to a rat up a drainpipe. Giving the now known Rode mics the name “Rodent - 1”, which was later compressed down to Rode NT. Gotta love an Aussie.
