Exercise 3 - The three most important things
⚠️ Before commenting here, please finish Exercise 2. Okay, so in this exercise you either have a course, or you’re pretending to have one. I need THREE words from you. Finish this sentence: In this course you will learn how to: 1. ... 2. ... 3. ... What do you put here? The THREE most important WORDS that represent what your community members need to learn about, and implement, in order to succeed. My example: 1. Structure 2. Prepare 3. Deliver For reference, my sentences from the 1st and 2nd exercises: Exercise #1 - I want to do better presentations Exercise #2 - The course helps you deliver better presentations ⚠️ Instead of one word, it can be two words, but please try using only one: ✅ Work out ✅ Cold calling ✅ Routine ❌ Sleep routine ❌ Don't use "and" Here are the sentences for all of you who have finished exercises #1 and #2. (I fixed them after I updated the 1st and 2nd exercise) @Sarah Hankins The community helps you learn to use homeopathy. This community helps you build your business @Mona Constante The community helps you earn money online 👍 = exercise completed ⚠️ These are not the words you will be using in your copy, presentations etc. (although they can) These are just mnemonics — trigger words that will help you remember your main points.

Exercise #2 - The course helps you ... ✳️ Updated
Alright! Let's see if this works... In the last exercise, we played around and created a simple "I need help with" statement. This time let's try to productize the statement. Instead of "I need help with..." change your statement to a product statement: ➡️ "The course" helps you ... My example: The course helps you deliver better presentations ✅ Use the same statement you already have and just replace "I help people with ..." with "The course helps you ..." ❌ Do not add more than one thing your course does (which means NO "and" in the sentence) ⚠️ I know theoretically you could use "My" instead of "The", but for this exercise I'd like you to distance yourself a bit from what you do, and try using "The" even if it feels weird. Here's Mona's and Arsh's simple help statement from the first exercise (I simplified it a bit more). 👍@Mona Constante I help people start earning money online @Arsh Quraishi I help people get more customers 👍 = Second exercise completed Why productize? Because it makes it easier for someone to make a buying decision when they know how much something costs and what exactly they're getting. This is also needed for the next exercises😉 When you've finished this exercise, I'll tag you here

Exercises
I know it's been a while, but I'm coming back to these exercises. It's taking so long because of my trip to L.A. and also because this is all new. So there's some trial and error involved. There's also a lot of thinking, writing, testing I have to do before putting these out.I've already updated the exercises two or three times, and I'm already seeing much better results. The good thing is, if these exercises work like I expect them to work, you will be able to use a similar format for your communities. This post includes all the exercises we have up till now: Exercise #1 - I want ... Exercise #2 - The course helps you .... Exercise #3 - The three most important things (three words)

Exercise #1 - I want... ✳️ Updated
So, I just got inspired by @Aya Romporas to start creating some exercises we could all do. My mission is for you to be able to pump out good educational content after you finish these exercises. The first one: Imagine you are your ideal client. Now try finishing their sentence (in the comments): I want ... ✅ Add one verb (run, create, deliver, make, lose) ✅ You can add an adjective (better, faster, stronger) ✅ Add the one thing (copy, sales, website, etc.) E.g. - I want to write better - I want to create better copy - I want to learn how to bake a cake - I want to improve my communication skills 𝗧𝗿𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁: ❌ Without adding the niche ❌ Without the Avatar/Ideal client/Persona ❌ Without saying how you do it ❌ Without the features or benefits ❌ Without adding fluff or magical voodoo ❌ Without your backstory ❌ Don't use the word "and" in the sentence (one thing only) ❌ Don't make it vague E.g. I want to enjoy life (too vague ❌) 🔥 If done right, the next question someone will want to ask you is "how?" not "what does that mean?". After finishing the #1 exercise, I'll tag you in the next one
