Advancing with reels - the latest attempts & some questions
Hi Fam,
I'm trying to improve my reels over time - both in the way they engage the viewers, and the overall message of them. The one thing inconsistent is the lighting and setup that differs from reel to reel, but it's also because I'm trying to test and train myself in different lighting scenarios (and of course doing it on my own materials is a safe way to practice! :D )
Here's the latest one (roughly translated to English, of course they're originally shot and scripted in Polish).
Now a few things that keep me awake at night 🤣
  1. Plz let me know if I'm on the right path with that, or should I improve something... One thing that I know I must work on is sound quality; I think I need to change my recorder to sth better, play with lav mic placement, or test the pre-amped USB mic instead. But ofc. I'm shooting them by trial and error, so I'm not sure if the overall direction of these reels is alright, or I should pivot it somehow.
  2. I wonder if there is something I should do for these reels to also reach outside audiences on FB and Insta, it seems they are only seen by friends, while I constantly see reels of people I've never heard about (perhaps based on the algorithm and interests. Don't know if every video uploaded on FB is pushed further like Shorts are on YouTube, or do I have to set something a different way.
  3. Also noticed they get close to zero engagement on LinkedIn - I wonder if it's just due to me already building relations there, or is the style inappropriate for the platform at all (like, maybe the audience there seeks for a more "serious" content and trying to leverage humor is a no-no there?)
Thanks for help! :)
