Ball Bounce
Here's a try at a ball bouncing with a squash and stretch rig. I didn't have time to draw a pendulum, so I just pretended the ball is on a rope for the swing animation.

And here I was thinking that I use a lot of bones in my skeletons πŸ˜…. You could just use one bone in the center and use scale to make it squash and stretch. It was also possible to make more refined versions using ik and transform constraints, but I don't know if it would be worth the effort.
Animator Quality
What do you look for when hiring an animator? Besides money (KNA fits everyone's the budget).

Contractors have very varied expectations, I like to ask what their expectations are in order to prioritize my process, in my last job the delivery speed was well defined, so I prioritized finding out how to deliver the animations in the appropriate time, something that some may ignore trying to polish what is already good, sometimes they just want good enough, and delivering faster can be better seen than delivering with more refinement. But inevitably, I think everyone wants someone who communicates well.
Straight Mesh Deform
Have you ever used Spine to straighten bent artwork? Use the mesh attachment, (look out for Erika) mesh deform it straighter, and then export the art. I don't think I am the only one who does this because of such ease and control you have over the mesh triangulation.

Dude, what a crazy idea, but I think I can see some uses for it
Hi!
My name is Steve and I am soooo excited to join this community! I'm from the U.S. and currently live in upstate New York close to the Hudson River and Catskill mountains. I've lived and visited many other places in the world, such as Dubai, Singapore, Philippines, Oman, Egypt, Denmark, Poland, and Sweden. I've been dabbling in animation for a while, doing very basic stuff in Spine, Unity, and Godot. I work as a solo, indie game developer working on my own projects and do freelancing to pay the bills. I want to learn more about how to turn what I see in my mind into living artwork with Spine. My fun fact is that I spend time outdoors to take a break from screens, and recently learned how to forage wild grapes to make grape jelly.

Homemade grape jelly looks delicious. Spine seems like a great tool for indies thinking about making 2D games which is my case, what kind of games would you like to use Spine for?

@Steve Mcilwain Oh yes, I love this style, I think it brings a breath of fresh air to the industry that is trying to reach a new level of realism with the arrival of Unreal 5. I even have a game called Wytchwood that I haven't had time to play yet and it's exactly in this style, also cute and dark. I'm on this journey to get the first game published, but it's such an exhausting process that I took a break and should return soon with the knowledge I learned during the break.
Oni girl walk cycle
Trying to use the graph tab and more bones on limbs to get that "elastic" impression of the character's movement. The type of walk just didn't really suit the character in my opinion, not girly at all πŸ˜….

@Cydoni Reyes Hand done for now, I'm thinking about how to do a more refined approach.
