To DRIP or not to DRIP that is the question.
I realize that we cannot time the stock market ebbs and flows but we can value a company within that market. In doing so, we have some idea when our wonderful company within our portfolio may become overvalued. So when it reaches that point and the stock company is ready to distribute a dividend, do you reinvest dividends or not? That is the question. Since, you already have a basket of stocks do you take the dividend and put it towards an undervalued stock in your portfolio? Do you reinvest the money into the same company regardless of its value? or do you take other actions with the dividend distribution. For me, I generally reinvest the dividend regardless of the company's stock value only because I do not have the time nor patience to watch my portfolio. So, for me its a 50/50 crap shoot of whether or not I'm getting the best value with DRIP. What does everyone else think about the DRIP?

@K H I had one and it was MPW but when they started to have trouble with their tenant Stuart’s, I bailed and no longer have any REITS.

@Stefan Karos good question but I'm not entirely sure. The only way that I'm aware of is purchasing stocks and DRIP within a Roth IRA. Remember, you are putting in taxed money every time you place money into your Roth IRA. However, anything that compounds, or any other gains is not taxed, when you decide to pull your money in accordance to the IRS regulations for a Roth.
NKE: Dip Buy or Dumpster Fire?
Trading for -50%+ off its 2021 high I'm curious about everyone's thoughts about the wide moat and profitable checkmark brand after it's cooled off from its 2020-2022 run.

Interesting, let’s see how this stock plays out.
...get out of your own way when investing?
Covering the modern period for the S&P 500, investing only when a Republican was in the White House, a $10,000 initial investment in 1961 would have grown to more than $102,000 by 2023. On the other hand, the same $10,000 investment would have grown to $500,000, investing only when a Democrat was in the White House. The moral of the story is that the same $10,000 initially invested in 1961 would have grown to $5.1 million by just staying invested, without regard for the political party in power. Great comment and totally agree with the leave it alone mentality. This is exactly what @Nathan Winklepleck was talking about concerning the coffee can portfolio. I am however, uncertain of investments during any political party in office. My reasoning is because of different environmental factors effecting the economy. However, this is only my opinion.
SCHD announces a 3 for 1 stock split

@Kyle H.LOL, that's why I only play the pass/don't pass lines in CRAPS at the casinos. Emotionally, I think I would have the best chance of winning concerning the dismal odds.😀
