AI --> Task and Calendar management
Has anyone tried any of the tools available for this? I've been thinking about an "AI-first" advisortech stack and task and calendar mgmt. is obviously an important one - I don't know of any industry-specific CRM at the moment that incorporates AI like this, so looking outside the industry for now: https://www.usemotion.com/

@Nancy Jacobson I have looked into Copilot, it is nice and does integrate with a decent amount. However, some of the integrations, specifically Airtable, lacked what we needed it for. It was ALMOST there, but couldn't get it across the finish line...
Data Question
Starting to work on a data strategy framework for RIAs. What I would like to know, what do you want do with your data, but you can’t? This can be across all aspects of your firm (I.e, CRM data, facial planning data, client communications dat, etc.)

@Russ Thornton love these thoughts! This thinking out loud is exactly what I was looking for. And love the description of your CRM. Need more from our data and for it to be dynamic not static.

@Ryan Goosen great! Looking forward to the chat.
What needs solved??
I'm starting to talk with more tech founders these days, looking for a solution to solve for advisors. I've been asked a similar question twice in the past two days: "If you had unlimited money, what would you solve?" 1. Tech stacks are too complicated, advisors have too much tech, are paying too much, and are underutilizing what they have... so possibly a software/framework to manage the stack - you put in each tool you're using and what you're using it for and identifies redundancies, holes, opportunities to save money, and opportunities for additional training - then maybe pairs with a network of tech consultants to help solve specific problems 2. Integration - the data shared between the 15-20 tools in a tech stack needs to flow seamlessly. Like maybe there should be a financial planning data standard, and all tools are built with the same fields in the same structure so data can flow between tools more easily... like standardizing the traffic lights, rules, signs, lane widths, etc across the country Then... once that gets solved... advisors will have the money, capacity, time to adopt new and better solutions and ya'll can innovate to infinity and beyond.

@Joe Moss you and I hit on this the other day. The big issues with trying to integrate is the difference in data architecture. Also, there is so much duplication. The industry is in fragmentation mode, at some point here will be a shake out phase, then a consolidation phase.

@Johnny Garstka would love to chat and hear more about what you are experiencing and trying to achieve if your open to it.
Manager Research Database?
Is anybody aware of an existing tool for storing manager research data (that's not just "in your files"). We are thinking of creating our own database for our research, but don't want to reinvent the wheel if there is a tool we can use. Looking for something that can store manager meetings notes, manager and fund summaries, creating rankings, house scorecards (and keep a record of how the score has changed over time), etc.

@Marcella Toronto you could use Airtable to build out your data base. The notes function depending on how you envision it, may be hard. I have tried a certain note function with in Airtable, and it is not the easiest in the world. Everything else you are looking for could easily be created. Always happy to chat!

@James Cantwell would be happy to chat. Here is a link to my calendar https://calendly.com/tsbickmore/30-min. Always like to talk tech and what we have done. It has been a process, but a fun one.
