Hey @Max Gibson - Legend. No need to say more. But, what I’m interested in learning is more about complete voice assistant setups. These are quickly going to get more and more intelligent, and have great communication skills.
Why You Should Be Learning VAPI API's.
API this, API that, more API's ohh crap. Just kidding. Just some small examples of using the API's with no 3rd party automation platforms. Zapier, Make, n8n and etc.

Very cool @Tylan Miller I didn't know about that.
Is 11Labs unusable right now for anyone else?
For the last week or so i've had pauses in the speech in almost any call seemingly randomly. In this call it happens about 1 min in. the AI says "I got you so it...............................................s still in the shopping phase; are you a first time home buyer?"

Yes @William Downes You may get pauses from time to time using voice ai. I believe that even with a pause like that, it’s still a much better solution than a business missing a call, or not calling a potential customer back. I'd like to get @Alejo and Paige Pijuan take on this recording.

Hey @William Downes Sorry for the slow reply. I’ve been pretty much off the air for a week. I’m catching up with messages, etc. I find the clarity of the voice ( especially with my AU accent - listening to an AU accent AI) far easier to understand, than an “overseas” accent of a real human. If people know it’s AI, I don’t think a slight pause is necessarily going to blow the deal in every case. Do you have any feedback from prospective clients you’ve demoed it to?
I lay out every single setting I use in VAPI so each of you can copy it
I got a ton of questions about my own VAPI settings and how I chose each one after posting a video deepdiving into the VAPI platform in which I walk through how to decide for yourself which settings to use. I'm committed to sharing as much as I can, so I made this one thinking of you all! https://youtu.be/HDmwEZz3LYQ

Thanks @Alejo and Paige Pijuan Vapi is an awesome platform, and every setting has an impact on the output. I think the amount of testing required is sometimes underestimated - and pushing the limits - and being a “customer” rather than a “developer” while testing is important. Thanks for sharing all of your experience. 👍
Can wait to connect!
I’m happy to have found this community. I’m excited to grow my knowledge of AI with people who have skills in this space. I’m looking forward to learning and sharing.
