Changed opinion? - Testing Public for Free community
I have set my Free group to public to see how November goes. I will provide data. Here is my why - With the new discovery algorithm it seems to favor outside Skool sourcing - You have to get to top #1000 of most categories to be found without a search term in discovery - SEO seems to be a smarter play now. If you are ranked a top #1000 in your category with the new algorithm I would not make any changes.

@Harold Meadows In your organic content, do you link directly to the about page or to the root url of your community?

Congrats!
Chat category Change
We had a chat category called "Affiliate Resources" This was for people to post value content and hype their groups at the same time. I did not realize this was confusing people they thought they needed to be my Affiliate to post there. I have changed the category to "Member Resources" you can drop Value pieces Templates, blogs, Meetings etc in there and Hype your group ... If you like this check out my group LINK. I encourage and support this feel free to use this category!

Makes sense! Thanks for clarifying. It's funny how words can mean something sooooo clear for us, in our head. And once out in the world, it's just confusion to others 😅

Why downtime is SO important!
OK so while you are in the grind of building your about page and content or engaging in communities to build rapport. We get distracted make sure you set aside either time during your day or preferably a day of your week, or a week of your month to reflect, step back, evaluate the big picture. It is during these periods my creativity soars, if you are not feeling creative or innovative I have some tips - but this time set aside is the most important step. Thanks to @Heather Coffin for reminding me, to remind you, how important this is for innovation and to take all this new information and let it bloom. And Yes stay alert A fantastic new Feature/Idea is coming soon.

@Jesse Woltersom it's good to experiment with different things. For me, I'm neurodivergent so what is downtime to me is sometimes very counterintuitive 😅 I like to relax by learning stuff. Or geeking out in my Skool. But also just go for a drive.

@Sindi McGuire I agree, it's important to know ourselves and balance the work and relaxation.
