Snacks?
I know Nagina talked about 1 serving of a fat at a snack, but is there any other snack information? I currently have 2 snacks. In the afternoon a protein bar (IQ or Simply Protein) from Costco, but these would be considered a processed food and probably not good for me. After dinner I have air popped popcorn with fresh pressed olive oil and nutritional yeast on top. Anyone else having snacks?

@Sandra Slaven I wish I wasn't a "snacker". I have a smoothie for lunch or a big salad. If I have a long work out I tend to get hungry in between meals. Maybe I should increase the protein in my meals a little more.

@Katherine Riddell Good question. It wasn't really mentioned. I only heard that your third and final serving of a fat is with a snack. No other ideas mentioned ...that I know of.
Kombucha??
Curious about how kombucha might fit in the framework discussed. Not recommended??

I need a scoby.. Love it too. I wonder if you can check your blood sugar to see if it spikes or not.

@Kathy Obrien that is so sweet of you. Unfortunately I am far away. Sarasota, Florida. Nextdoor is a good idea. Thanks
Any of you deal with food sensitivities and Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE)
I had lost 50 lbs over a 15 month period, by moving to a primary pescatarian diet, with eating whole foods and plant based and exercising on a regular basis. I started having issues with food getting stuck and trouble swallowing and ended being diagnosed with food sensitivities and Eosinophilic Esophagitis, which is causes chronic inflammation in the esophagus from the following food groups milk & dairy, eggs, wheat, soy, peanuts & tree nuts, fish & shellfish. Other foods that can trigger EoE, are fatty or fried foods, tomato sauce, alcohol, chocolate, mint, garlic onion and caffeine. In addition, I was diagnosed with food sensitivities to 26 different foods. Since this diagnosis I am struggling with what to eat as basically my pescatarian diet was no longer feasible and neither was my plant basis as I ended up being sensitive to several grains, beans & legumes as well as green beans, mushrooms, watermelon. I have put back on 22 lbs and am struggling with how to eat these days. Any help from ladies who deal with this would be appreciated.

Hi Ann, I also feel your pain. I had to be on a 4 month elimination diet and could only eat a few varieties of meat, any type of rice, and 5 different vegetables. It was horrible and I gained weight from all the rice. But in the end, I think it worked. My eosinophils were also very high, but I didn't notice it in my esophagus. I think just healing the gut and sticking to your food choices would be the best route. But I am not a Doctor. Good luck!!!
