How to find internships at big companies or startups?
Hi everyone, I'm a high school junior currently studying in Canada. I'm hoping to do a short-term internship at local companies. And I'm planning to cold email some start-ups or stem related companies. Does anyone know how to find local start-ups or potential companies to work with? I'm not looking to email big companies like Google or Microsoft since the chance of getting a reply is probably really low. Any suggestions on this will be helpful and greatly appreciated <3

first: connections from parents second: using the experience to cold email like rishab says third: build a resume and apply/cold email professionally, it gets easier the easiest way is to ask your parents who they know. not only the easiest, but the best. dont assume you have no connections, parents are underrated if that doesn't work, as your parents close friends who they know. if that doesnt, look at local places through google. "clinic near me" and cold email.
Do I stand a chance of getting into MIT or Stanford or any top college
Hi Everyone, I am Aditya Sinha, an 11th grader (Junior) from India. I want to major in aerospace engineering with a minor in either CS or electronics. Here are all my achievements and ECs that I have been working on over the last few years. Can you go through them and let me know if they are good enough? I would love to get feedback and new ideas on what I can work on or participate in, that can boost my application/profile. Extracurriculars 1) Cosmox Blogs: An organization that I started in 2022 (CEO & Founder). A non-profit organization that works on delivering informational articles and posts based on cosmology, natural sciences, and aerospace to aid our and similar people's curiosity. -> 30k lifetime views on the blog's website -> 150k views on Instagram account working on a space exploration game will be releasing the first version by the end of September 2) Action For World: The first organization that I joined. Joined as a content creator, later on got promoted again and again and now I am the CEO of Action. Action For World is a youth-led nonprofit organization focused on spreading awareness about climate change and educating people about environmental science. We run Action Blogs, maintain an active Instagram account, and offer a four to five-month fellowship program that teaches participants about intersectional environmentalism and leadership. -> Have taught over 200 people through the fellowship -> 25k+ views on the website -> Worked on a carbon emission management system and reduced over 40 metric tonnes of carbon emissions from 5 factories (received an award from the Aviation Department of India) 3) Tech Optimum (CTO): Built Tech Optimum's 2022 Hackathon website, hosted Tech Optimum's first hackathon, judged 50+ projects. Got $42,000 in sponsorship funding for the hackathon. 4) Tech Nuttiez (Creative Team Lead - Magazine): Designed the magazine published in February 2022, Designed the magazine published in March 2022. The Tech Nuttiez app got over 1 lakh downloads so I assume the magazines that I worked on had at least 50k views
