Hi! I’m wondering if there’s any challenge/hackthons/comp that is beginners friendly? In Canada and US region. I’m a high school junior interested in CS/AI. I would say I’m still a beginner in coding only know a bit about JavaScript and coding using React. Same with AI, I’ve been to a summer camp about AI but nothing else.

This challenge is called big data challenge. Participants will take a data science course provided by CISCO and receive a certification upon submission. They are need to write a research paper to showcase their result from analyzing the data provided. Then the research result will be marked. Finalist can receive $1000 per group. There’s a $20 entry fee. Preferably participants from US or Canada, as the final round will be held in Canada. Pm me if you are interested!

Hi everyone, I'm a high school junior currently studying in Canada. I'm hoping to do a short-term internship at local companies. And I'm planning to cold email some start-ups or stem related companies. Does anyone know how to find local start-ups or potential companies to work with? I'm not looking to email big companies like Google or Microsoft since the chance of getting a reply is probably really low. Any suggestions on this will be helpful and greatly appreciated <3

Hi everyone, I’m a rising junior at a high school in Canada (metro Vancouver area). I’m planning to find a tech or STEM related internship in the upcoming school year. Anyone have any recommendations of tech related internships programs that I can do in Canada? Or any tech related companies in Canada I can reach out and cold email them?
