Mental stillness for me is reached through my body. As I become more attuned to my body I find that the peace I experience there somehow transmits itself to my mind and I can spend time resting in sensation .

I have so much to do but will try and take things steadily and not hurry too much . And try and feel grateful and recognise the meaning in what I am doing . Thank you Ayla for the lovely new practices !

My challenge is to work to find a Sankalpa wording that really resonates over time. At the moment it chops and changes on an almost daily basis, sometimes using your suggestions, Ayla, sometimes something will just pop into my head . I keep hoping something definitive will emerge!

@Rawl O'Neal Yes, think the more general one is probably more helpful but it’s finding the words to express it that feel right. Sometimes Ayla introduces the Sankalpa as - what brought you here?- which takes me closer to finding the words but I’m still struggling a bit. I’m hoping that continued application will get me there. I’m a slow learner 😂

I first came across Yoga Nidra after taking part in a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction programme about 15 years ago. I have listened to a variety of YouTube Nidras, taken part in some live online sessions and incorporated some short Nidra scripts in the Kundalini Yoga classes I teach. Like many women post menopause, falling asleep can be a challenge and I listen to lots of meditation podcasts . I came across Ayla’s podcast and loved her beautiful voice and use of language. I have committed myself to practicing along with her each afternoon , if only with her shortest meditations as I am really aware of the benefits of continuity. I also want to understand more about how Yoga Nidra works so I can share it with the people I teach.

Oh , there are some wonderful quotes here! Hello, I’m Ruth from London UK. Thank you so much Ayla for the podcast of those beautiful meditations , I’m finding them so supportive🥰. My quote is one I’ve loved all my adult life , from William Blake -‘for everything that lives is holy’
