Community Building in larger Skool communities?
I listened to the Skool Mastermind and immediately joined @Calvin Hollywood 's free community (thank you, German parents). What I found rather interesting is the systems and rigour put in place in 'smaller' communities to foster the desired community culture. Now I am curious - do we have people here that run Skool communities in the thousands that be willing to share their experience and best practice? Do you believe a community model is possible? Or are larger communities that do have courses/programs attached (or to be fair, its courses with community attached) just simply more suitable for the guru model? What are your top Skool feature tips to make it manageable? I noted posting at level 2, structuring of bonus unlocks, utilising Skool calendar for more than events. And back into my rabbit hole of reading through all posts..

@Thomas Jordan My questions are around best practice in larger communities. From quick look, I can see you have 18 admins and a lot less volumes of conversation. I am curious, do you have a ratio of admin/mod to member or post? Any general thoughts you can share on most valuable Skool features and / or measures/guidelines?

@Thomas Jordan Thank you, much appreciated. I will have a closer look around.
How many members do you have in your community? 🤔

Close to 5,000 (mind you, its not MY community)
Switch off / hide from "All" view
For context, our community is roughly 5,000 members and growing. Due to the structure of the product offering it would be helpful for members to be able to 'opt out' of certain conversations as means to curate their experience. My solution is either getting rid of the view defaulting to "All" or being able to have certain categories excluded from "All" view. It may be a niche requests but imagine larger communities would have the challenge of 'triaging' members.

Spammers taking over...
I wanted to ask, is anything in the works or being done to counter spammers in our free communities. It's such a shame but all these free communities are riddles with spammers, scammers and all round horrible people. I have DM turned on for level 2. I also have a full time employee that sifts through and bans any spammers. It doesn't seem like anything works. Is it possible to impose more checks to help manage our groups. Some ideas i had: 1. Auto bans based on specific words use 2. More questions in the sign up process 3. All posts and comments to be deleted automatically when banning someone (will save hours) 4. Not allowing someone to join the same group after getting banned (based on IP) i've had the same person join over 20 times with different names and profiles... 5. (EDIT) If we had the option to entirely turn of DMs for our free groups that would SOLVE SO MUCH! I'm sure there's more ideas, comment below if you have any good ideas to help counter this. Let's clear the scammers out of Skool!

We have a paid community and it still is an issue. Really curious what best practice is.
Notification when post gets taken down?
I just posted on here and from my experience it looks like the post was taken down... No feelings hurt... Can we have the functionality to let people know that the post didn't follow community rules?

@Sam Ovens Oh yes please!!! We cannot keep sending DMs to people, it has unfortunately gotten out of hand.
