Stuck at posting your first video? Read this!
If you are stuck with uploading that very first video to your channel it is likely you are trying to get every little detail right. -Research everything on a specific topic -script every word you're gonna say -Record the a-roll (fix lighting, get a $1000 camera, get a good laptop etc.) -Make the b-roll -Edit every detail ECT. The point is you're trying to overdo it for such minimal reward Even when you make your very first video, all the effort you put in, it'll suck anyway That's the cold harsh truth bro... IT WILL SUCK ANYWAY! The reason for this is that you're very inexperienced on youtube, you haven't done anything yet on the platform. So this should kinda comfort you that it doesn't matter that the video isn't perfect. We all started out bro. My very first video sucked so much that I eventually deleted it (not right approach, I wish I hadn't done that cause it would be a perfect way to see how much I improved). You don't learn to swim from a book so you don't grow on youtube if you don't have anything posted yet. The mindset you need to adopt for yourself for this is that this first video is just to see if you want to continue on youtube, that's all! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So here a little challenge for you if you thought about starting a youtube channel or trying to overdo your first video: Upload a video within 48 hours from seeing this post, and doesn't matter if everything sucked, it is just to get you going. And to spice up the challenge: 200 push if you miss the deadline!!!! Let me know if you accept and did it! Take care! -Robin

How to have Good background music for your Video's
Music is a very important component of the overall look of the video you're making. Good music in video's makes you feel certain ways that is not only engaging, but you will remember the stuff that's told in the video better. The core mission of having background music in your video's is to make a viewer feel a certain way! A lot of beginners (including me as well) edit a video and then search for some random songs that sound good and drop them in the sequence and TADAAA ... video done! I can tell you right now that that is the wrong way to go about adding music in your video's. In a good video you have different type of moods, one moment you are serious, then another you're funny. You don't want the same music you used for a serious atmosphere to be underneath your joke... right? So firstly before I drop some sauce in here, I'll tell you some pre-requisites on background music: You probably know Andrew Tate right? We can all agree that he makes you feel a certain way, if it is either love or hate, joy or fear, laughter or anger and bunch of other emotions that I don't know. This why he is so popular, he gives you these strong emotions that attach you to him. This is exactly what we want to replicate in our video's! And one key factor is by adding good fitting background music depending on the mood. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - You need to edit your music It sounds so cliche to say it like this, but it is true. You use fragments of a song or beat that fits the current mood you try to give the viewer. What worked for me is that I devided my video in a few different chapters and then have a particular background music for that entire section and then swith it up when the next chapter comes. but sometimes this isn't possible because you want to provoke more emotions in one chapter. To make that all still sound good is by using sound effects as well.

How to make your Video's more Engaging
It is actually pretty easy to make a video more engaging You just need to BREAK the repetitiveness of the video! Why? For example when someone talks for to long about a certain topic with the same tonality, gestures etc. you're mind starts to wander away mid conversation. Eventually this starts to bore you to the point you want to get out, This concept works the same with video's, this is why people start dropping out of your video the first 30 seconds of the intro. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So how to break the repetitiveness of your video? - Put b-roll or motion graphics every 15-20 seconds of your video This is to re-hook your viewer to the video, you bring his (or her) mind back to the video and prevent wandering away. Combine this with transitions and sound effects to make it even more engaging but... - Don't use the same sound effects over and over again, you can download different sounds for fast pacing transitions, effects or camera movements etc. Otherwise this will get the viewer annoyed, if you heard the same sound over and over and over again, you'd be way more likely to click away just to get rid of that sound. So instead use different wooshes, swishes, risers or impacts throughout the video. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So in conclusion this should help you break the walls of your boring video's and make them way more engaging to watch in the long run. it even applies to shortform content but on a shorter timeframe and to people with an attention span of less than 1 second. Hope this post brought value to you! Take care! -Robin
