Habitually late caregiver
I have this amazing caregiver that does an amazing job and she even refers me other amazing caregivers. She can’t clock in on time to save her life. Here’s a screen shot of our conversation. I created a letter with her plan of action along with some of my suggestions. I will let you know how it goes.

I run a call centre currently and I have the same problem with some of my staff getting to work on time. There are several ways I think you can manage this. The first is what you've done already by asking her to put an action plan together because if she puts it together, then she buys into it and she can follow it easier. I agree she should add 15 minutes to her GPS time but she should've thought of that before. Secondly you can do a reward-based process. There are two schools of thought in the call centre industry. Should we reward people for doing their job and coming in on time or do we just penalize them when they do not show up on time? I think if she has perfect attendance for one month you can possibly give her some kind of reward or recognition and perhaps do that with all your caregivers and rank them and do some fun, bonuses, etc. for those people

Love gamification! I have seen some great ideas such as points for arriving on time and once you reach a certain level you get kudos, rewards etc.,
My first sale!
I had my first official client. I’ve been getting all my clients from placement agents and today was the first client I closed all by myself. They came to us through referral and reputation so honestly it wasn’t a hard sale but I definitely broke through some of my limiting beliefs around being a salesperson. Getting pizza to celebrate my win. 🥇

I’m slightly upset. My business partner decided to dissolve the partnership we had together with our in home care agency and I was against it. I even asked her to reconsider. She felt bad for not pulling her weight and helping me out, so I refunded her the $6k initial investment she made. I am the one that suggested that she receive her full buy in back and she told me she was fine with half of it or whatever I felt was fair….fast forward to a month later I sent her the meeting minutes dissolving the partnership and she sends a text back saying if she can get the $1000 that she put in when we over-drafted our account the week she decided to pull out. I told her that wasn’t part of the buy in, she said I was being unfair and it was the principle. I told her part of the overdraft was negligence on both our ends. She said it wasn’t her responsibility to pay attention to the finances cuz “you had it, Mariam” I reminded her that I had asked help multiple times with the invoicing and P&Ls and she didn’t help. She ended up repeating the same argument saying she didn’t realize that she wasn’t helping me (even though the minutes showed the reason of the dissolution was due to her feeling as though she wasn’t helping me) I know this long but I’m hurt more than anything. I felt like I did the right thing and the generous thing. What would you have done?

That’s a tough one! I fully understand the principle of the thing, and your generosity to give her back her full investment. The biggest thing is how do you want to feel… Whatever makes you feel at peace is what you should do. This is obviously upsetting you and if giving her back the $1000 will upset you more then do not do that but if giving her the $1000 helps you close this chapter then it’s a small price to pay knowing you are even more generous with her considering all that happened. Perhaps consider doing it as a Goodwill gesture and put the principle aside and if that will give you peace and help you feel better and release the conflict it will free YOU and will allow you to attract even more success. She must be very troubled to come back to you for this $1000 after you gave her back her full investment and she only wanted half or what was “fair” something is going on with her sadly. Hope this helps 💕

Good for you, and what I meant about peace, I meant YOUR peace, not necessarily keeping the peace with her. You need to be happy with your decision and you sound like you are so then all is good.!!! 👍🏻
