Day 10 - hotttt summer day 🥵
AM - beach training. Working on heelwork and building up Franks fitness. He is so long and built little different so I’m really trying to work on his strength and hopefully have a little flicky feet one day. Plus getting him used to eating with his head up. Beach is also great because he doesn’t keep looking forward for any obstacles coming up. PM- we are all hot and over this week so little indication practice and mini conditioning session https://www.instagram.com/stories/goodboy_frank/3542348176454100549?utm_source=ig_story_item_share&igsh=bHpzNmRydmg3OGhj

I really like your little distraction dance with the indication training 😂
Day 9 - public access and taskwork
Today we worked more on Lizzie's PA skills in preparation for her first trip to London next week. We've done lots already, today we mainly focused on her being able to pass me dropped items when it's really busy. Unfortunately I got people's faces in the reps where it was busy, so the clip is when they're slightly further away. https://www.instagram.com/stories/rachel.trains.animals/3541983466258421833?utm_source=ig_story_item_share&igsh=MWNkemt3aDA1eWV2cw==

@Nick Benger I've got a 3 day conference on disability and leadership. The conference centre is right on the edge and looks pretty quiet, but the travel there and back is going to be a lot! Lizzie's first time on the tube too!
Day 8 - conditioning exercises
Inspired by @Diane Gollowitzer I thought I'd try getting back into all my dogs doing fitness exercises again. Lily does physio everyday, she had a spinal stroke 3 months ago, and she's recovering brilliantly. Our current goals are that she continues rebuilding hind limb and back muscles and improves her explosive power. The thing we did differently today was that I didn't just cycle through her regular exercises, I got all the dogs involved and worked on static exercises for all of them, and then some figure of 8s with steps. Here's Lily (aka wonky legs) having her turn.

Training
Cherry🍒Figure of 8s around 2 cones, change direction whistle, focused heelwork then upped the lure abit she actually done it on her own, no help at all head high with her cheek against my leg so proud of her did 4 reps, didn't want to finish on a negative, I took what I got for today, no way was I pushing my luck 🤣 outs around trees, and some hoopers around trees, some watch and retrieve with some stops all in all good training session. Willow Left, right, go back retrieves, long distance retrieves, watch retrieve stop retrieves, long distance blind retrieves, heelwork and middle walk finished with a walk and scatter feed☺️ Taffy Impulse control, waiting for release to get toy, game of tug and drop, wait and retrieve, good focus around dog, finished with a walk and scatter feed. ☺️ Kike Paws on step, giving paws and turns of the neck and stretch of the neck, sit to down to sit, spin and turn, up which is a stand on bk legs😏kids taught this 1🤣 and new one going around a cone. And always always keep up with boundary training. Doors and gates are not to be crossed no matter what. Unless released to do so.

@Lynda Comerford Briar Dunn has a really lovely online rally class!
Day #13
Initially I felt a bit better but run out of energy very quickly. So I started to train the tiny target but only got 2 rounds in (it did help that Dougal found it very exciting and started barking. My head wanted to explode.). Then I revisited the looking at target with Dee, and did their fitness exercises. I don't like fitness. Rewarding even if we mess up doesn't come naturally. They don't understand it either

I need to get more disciplined with doing fitness exercises again. For a while I had a schedule with all three dogs, but I've really let it slip recently. They're ones that I always film myself doing because I'm always doing something weird with my hands that's causing issues somewhere 😂
