DISC Assessment - Know your Personality
Personality tests have been around for decades, and come in many shapes/sizes/forms. The science behind them is strong, but the results are often misinterpreted or misused. The thing is, understanding our personality and our strengths sets a strong foundation of what areas of improvement we might need. Reflecting on your own personality and strengths only goes so far, sometimes you need an outside perspective. Here is my question. Have you ever completed a personality test? Did you find the results helpful? If I could get you FREE (or very low-cost) access to a validated one, would you be interested in taking it? Comment below

The #1 Reason for Getting Promoted at Work?
I'm curious based on your experience. What do you think is the most important reason someone gets promoted within a company? Share your thoughts on why you select that response. If none apply, what would you add?

The #1 Reason for Getting Promoted at Work?

In business enabling functions like HR and IT etc, relationships matter the most. I am not saying you don't have to perform but at the end of the day, relationships seem drive the results.
Emailing After Hours?
What do you think about this? If you are looking to get promoted what do you think are the better practices? One idea I have is: working after hours is a sign that you cannot get your work done during regular hours. Agree, disagree? Better practice suggestions?

While I agree with it, the interpretation of 'late staying' varies depending on the management style and culture of the place. I have known the same behaviour being interpreted as 'clock watching' (meaning not committed enough) and also as an 'efficient person' who completes his job on time and has work-life balance.
Are you inspiring your team?
Hi Here is a short a LinkedIn post. Hope this is okay, Roger? Feel free to let me know if the group guidelines say otherwise. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/drpramodsolanki-growthcatalyst_ericgarten-michaelmankins-inspiration-activity-7215340676220129280-k9Yl?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop

Traditional metrics and metrics that matter.
Hi everyone, Roger's post on LinkedIn traditional metrics of performance of organizations and the ones that are going to matter going forward, has had major traction. I asked him if he had developed some tools to measure the new metrics. He suggested that I post the questions here so that everyone can benefit. Here is the pic on the same. Look forward to your response, Roger.

@Roger Thompson Yes. That's one of the issues organizations are dealing with these days. They all do surveys but 'do not have time' to pay attention to what needs to be done to address the issue. In the surveys lose their value and it becomes a 'window dressing exercise' for the senior managers.

@Jack Oliveira That's an important question and a concern. My view is that we should begin discussing these metrics even though there is an element of subjectivity in their measurement tools. The direction / level of the scores (low/average/high) gives you a sense of how things are on the ground and, when these issues looked at the highest level, managers down the line start paying attention. That helps.
