Which is better, Google Ads or Facebook Ads?
As I go down the path of setting up paid advertising, I was asked two questions. Correction: I was asked this one question - which is better? First, It’s fantastic that Sam and Alex have tracking in place for both systems. Side Note – most don’t realise that Alex used paid ads a lot for Gym launch So, let's break down the differences. Google Ads: (google search ads) I started in digital with SEO and realised that Google Ads can provide fantastic data if it's set up correctly. One thing about Google Ads is that it’s likely to be more expensive because many others are also advertising on it. The key difference, though, is intent. Someone searching on Google for what you do or what your business offers has a stronger intent than someone scrolling through Facebook. However, if not set up carefully, Google Ads can be too broad. For instance, if you're providing a service for "black cats" and don’t specify using quotation marks, your ads might appear for anything with "black" and "cats," well outside your target. However if the ads are for [black cats] – exact match – then it should only show for this exact search term. Also, with Google Ads retargeting, you need to get 1,000 clicks on your campaign before you can even start retargeting. Facebook Ads: Facebook Ads are easier to start with, but they rely on pattern interruption. Your ad needs to catch someone's attention while they are doing something else. The great part about Facebook retargeting is that you can retarget as soon as someone views your ad or watches any part of a video. But remember, intent is different here; they’re not specifically looking for what you offer, so you have to grab their attention quickly. Using video can help, but it needs to grab attention within the first three seconds; otherwise, it won't get much traction. For both platforms, offering something for free as a way in is very effective. If you’re aiming for a direct sale, you’ll need social proof—reviews, testimonials—rather than just your claims.

@Fidel Zorrilla that’s right - the intent is better with Google ads - setting up a Google ad campaign is not difficult and there are many videos are on YouTube but getting it to convert is another matter- I also see distractions being put by website designers so ads don’t perform
How to Get a TON of 7 Day Free Trial Sign Ups on Skool
Here's how I got an unbelievable amount (see screenshot below) of free trial sign ups in 24 hours. I've used this technique a few times and it works every single time. Huge hack. Step 1: Make a post (& email broadcast it) in your free Skool community saying something like this... Want <dream outcome> in <time frame, ie. 90 days, 30 days, etc>? In <time frame, ie. 3 days, 3 hours, etc> you can attend my new step-by-step workshop called <workshop title> which is designed specifically to help you <achieve your dream outcome> in <timeframe>. By attending this workshop, you'll walk away with: - Thing they really want #1 - Thing they really want #2 - Thing they really want #3 To attend the workshop, you can either: A) Pay $497 here (also includes the replay if you can't make it live). Or... B) Attend it for FREE by grabbing a free 7 day trial here. Can't make it live? You'll also get the replays of ALL my past and future workshops at no cost. See you then! <your name> Step 2: Sit back & watch the free trials come in. Or, if you're not lazy, do the same sort of post again 3 days later. That's it!! Cheers, Ted P.S. Make sure your workshop is actually REALLY HELPFUL and those who attend actually get an awesome result WHILE attending. This way they'll want to attend the next workshop & not churn on you. And also, before you're finished the workshop, make sure to announce the next workshop aimed at solving their next problem or achieving their next dream outcome so they don't churn as soon as the workshop is over. P.S.S. If you want my team & I to professionally set up your free Skool community for you PLUS cover the $99/month fee for your first month, just DM me: "SKOOL" and I'll hook you up.

@Ted Carr love it
24hrs+ After (Free) Launch | 48 members + 6 Calls Booked 🚀
A little over 24hrs ago, I finally launched my new Free community.. and it's been great! 🚀 I have been here awhile and I had a community I loved but it just wasn't what I needed... and I resisted doing Free to Paid for far too long, as if I was going to crack the code to just one community? 🥲 Take it from me.. just model what winners do! Because I just went through everything with the launch I wanted to break it down a bit and show you behind the scenes. Why? Maybe you're new here. Maybe you've been here and need encouragement to give it a go again. Maybe you just want to tweak some stuff! I'll show you my dashboard, my metrics, discovery page, my membership questions, my auto-dm (inspired by @Calvin Hollywood), my welcome post, my book a call page, and more.. Getting 6 calls out of 48 members with more to come is pretty good in my book and I'm designing the entire thing to be perfect for Free to Paid transition. I do strongly believe there is still a need for a FREE community even tho there is the option for a 7 day free trial now. (more on that later) Also shout-out to @Ryan Duncan for finally making me understand the Free to Paid model 🙌 👇 Would love to hear if you have feedback or if you tried something that's worked really well for the first couple of weeks after launch!

What did you do to start your people coming in?
Skool Update! | Report User Via Profile ⚠️
There is another amazing update to the Skool platform! We now can report a user from their profile! It's doable via Desktop or Mobile. Steps to report: Click on the person's profile then just click the 3 dots in the top right corner and hit report user. Then choose the correct selection for why you're reporting. This will be helpful when you get spammers requesting to join your community etc. Thank you Skool Team for making this platform a great place to be! Edit: Please Do Not Report @Andrew Kirby! This Was Just An Example!! (Needed to know they'd know it wasn't a real report, if the button pushed didn't pop up options.)

@Joe DeFilippo it’s an ugly model when the product comes from China anyway and the customer is waiting
$200,000 on Skool in 30 days (Avoid these 2 mistakes!!)
Just hit a record month & made $200,000 USD from my free Skool community. Total ad spend: less than $5,000. Here are 2 mistakes I see 99% of people on Skool making, including many Skool games winners who I spoke with in Vegas last week. • Mistake #1: Not having a free Skool community. Going directly from an ad/social media to a paid group looks sexy on paper, I agree. But the reality is: A free Skool community nurtures leads & gets them to convert at a rate like nothing else I've ever seen. With a free Skool community, you can nurture leads in 4 ways: 1) The DM's (auto-dm to kick things off) 2) The community feed 3) The classroom 4) The calendar All without ever coming across as salesy! • Mistake #2: Telling people to join your free Skool community. I used to tell people to "jOiN mY fReE SkOoL cOmMuNiTy!" but nobody was joining :( I thought it was an issue with Skool. But then I started doing something insane... I started leveraging human psychology and talking to people about their DREAM OUTCOMES and frustrations. I started saying stuff like: "If you want to achieve <dream outcome> in <X timeframe> without <pain/effort/frustration>, click here to download my new free training that shows you how." And then I'd link them to my free Skool community. Guess what happened? People joined by the TRUCK LOAD. Turns out, nobody gives a 💩 about your free Skool community - until they're in it. To get them to join in the first place, you need to use bait. The best bait I've found? Free (GENUINELY HELPFUL) stuff like courses, pdf's, etc. that help people achieve their specific dream outcome in a specific time frame without a specific pain point. Hold nothing back in your free content. Give give give. Upsell the DFY/Done-With-You implementation - but give away all the DIY instructions. Growth has been insane ever since I started taking the above 👆 seriously. $200,000 in 30 days!!! Hope this helps, Ted P.S. I've attended 5 Skool Games events in Las Vegas and even a lot of the top winners don't know this stuff... but once they implement it, they make even MORE money.
