Research
Hello all! I have recently been offered/looking into a research intern position at a startup. This includes 8 weeks of research and 8 weeks of researching/publishing lit under a mentor along with working directly with the CEO of a startup. Plus, the people I would be able to work with are past Harvard, Stanford, Google, MIT alumni + mentioned in Forbes. It is a bit pricy though, do you guys recommend me to take up the opportunity as a means of good experience for the work place or, accolades for college. I'm in a dilemma as the price is pretty high and any advice or insight if you did something like this is greatly appreciated!

If the opportunity aligns with your interests, provides meaningful learning experiences, and supports your long-term academic and professional goals, it could be a worthwhile investment despite the high cost. However, if the price feels out of reach and your primary motivation is for accolades or college recognition, it may be worth considering other options. Ultimately, the key is to assess whether this experience will foster growth that benefits your future career or academic trajectory, and if so, the investment could pay off in the long run.
Is it possible for Spacetime to break?
Like suppose the surface of our spacetime just tears apart in an area. Is it even possible? And even if it is and it does, wont it cause a disturbance in the nature of Spacetime? Maybe all the surrounding planets and stars will sink into the broken piece, but the question rises where it will go if everything sinks? Or is this the origin of black holes🤡✨️? Anyways, as we know Spacetime bends, then it should mean it's flexible enough to not break at all in the 1st place. Right?

Spacetime is flexible, and while extreme curvature or singularities might seem like “breaks” in spacetime, the fabric itself doesn’t tear apart. Instead, it bends and warps in response to the forces acting on it.
Summer program!!
Ahhh!! I got accepted into Rice University Pre-college program as well as got accepted into Boston Leadership institute right now! I just wanted to know if there was anyone from this community who got in as well! We could perhaps meet?! Anyways I just wanted to ask how good the Boston Leadership Institute is?

Congrats! The Boston Leadership Institute is definitely a good program. It’s known for being pretty engaging and giving students valuable experience.
Research Program Rec Letters
For a research program like SSP or UChicago's RIBS, in a letter of recommendation, are they more looking for your mastery of science in class, intellectual vitality outside the classroom, or leadership values? I'm assuming a combination of the first and second, but I just wanted to make sure so I know what to put on my brag sheet. Thanks!

Intellectual curiosity and initiative outside the classroom will be most important, but including evidence of strong academic performance and leadership in scientific endeavors can make your application stronger.
UCLA Cosmos vs UCI Cosmos
I am a rising 9th grade student (currently in 8th grade) and am hopping to get into cosmos this summer. Which campus would you recommend? Which one is easier to get into? Which one is more fun?

I recommend UC Berkeley. UC Davis is probably easiest to get into. Maybe even UC Irvine. Fun is really diverse from person to person. These are my choices but keep in mind they might not be accurate since I haven’t actually done cosmos.
