How to balance education?
Welcome to 'Me giving advice as my mum chases me down to study.' For today's advice we are gonna talk about how to balance Education. By education I mean from school to tuitions to extra curriculer activities. 1. Trying only Those that are necessary. After all these years of trying so many extra curricular activities, I've finally realized that you don't need to be good at everything. I wouldn't be scared of a person who knows many ways to hit yet cannot do one properly, but I would be of that person who has practiced that one move their whole life. I used to sign up for everything and fail in all of them, cause most of them were either out of my interest or not in my expertise. Thus, I just wasted my time instead of utilizing it into learning what I like. 2. Understanding your Time Schedule. Please don't sign up for so many extra curricular and tuitions that you don't even have the time to breath. I would especially say this to those who signs up for over 5-6 tuitions before your exams to finish your syllabus. Please don't. It's a waste of time and effort. YOU NEED TIME FOR YOURSELF. Even in terms of learning. 3. Don't follow people. You can take their decisions in terms of education as suggestions but not as your decision. What suits them doesn't ensure it'll also suit you. I have a friend who studies through giving continuous exams in different tuition center, while I can only study good with loud noises in school. (Ik it's weird) 4. Work smart not just hard. Why waste money and time on learning something in another place when you can do it at home for free? Ik people learn differently. But there gotta be at least 1 thing that you can learn at home by yourself. Trust me I learned almost 5 languages at home for free. Also When preparing for things like exams just filter out the important stuff and study those 1st. I will try to make another post on preparing for exams in the near future. That's all I think. As usual, lemme know if I made any mistakes or you wanna add something to these. Goobye.🤡

Life is unfair.
Welcome to another episode of 'Me giving advice as my mom chases me to study." So today's one is more of a life advice and less of an academic one. Why did I think of this? Here's why- I went to a debate competition today. As a nervous fella, I usually stutter a lot when under pressure, yet today I did so well that even I was surprised. My team was in the proposition with lots of good arguments and I myself pointed out almost all of their arguments and proved them wrong, while my other teammates also pointed out their some. Our opposition team made mistake after mistake. They didn't answer my Point of information or question which usually deducts marks, they couldn't finish in their given time, which also deducts marks, their 3rd speaker started speaking in the motion's proposition and said sorry in the middle of the debate for doing so and they didn't utter the main concept of the debate and went along with only explaining that one word. In the end, the opposition team cried cause they didn't do well. But guess what? They won. Even they were surprised at how they had won. The judges gave pieces of advice before our results and most of them were for the opposition team as they made many mistakes. The funny thing is, the judges even praised our 2nd speaker and me the 3rd speaker. I mean like how? Anyway, the main point is life is unfair. There is nothing you can do but move on. p.s. this feels more like a rant and less like advice, now that I read it.🤡

How do I finish this?
So, I've an exam on Atoms, it's history and stuff tomorrow. I did read this chapter before, but don't remember most of it. I understand the concepts but there are things to memorize, how do I do it? (I need to finish this by tonight and at most I can stay awake is 2.30 am. It's 7.22 pm rn.)

@Eve Murphy I got only 19 outta 30. But it doesn't matter, it was only a tuition exam. 🤡 although I had to stand up in front of the whole class cause of this, but at least I wasn't alone.
How to come up with good ideas.
Welcome to 'Me giving advice as my mom chases me down to study.' or sleep in this case. Now let's start. How do you actually come up with good ideas? 1. The definition of good and bad is totally based on preferences. Now, what may seem like a bad idea to you can be someone's best bet. And this is normal. Not everyone has the same goals and not everyone has the same opinions. But trust me the judges/teachers do. What they have is less of an opinion more of an experience. So, the main thing is to go for what aligns with your goals, ALONG with the proposed audiences and don't just follow others blindly. 2. 'Be original!' everyone says that, but I don't think that is an easy job. Even big scientists and their inventions weren't something totally original. They were Improvements. So, if you can be original, good for you. And if you cannot be, then aim for improvements of past ideas. 3. Now when I say improvements I don't mean for you to improve the grey cement into dark grey cement. I mean for you to improve grey cement into glass. Ik it's hard but trust me what isn't? The main point is, be unique. Nobody would think of turning grey cement into glass (other than me ofc) and it's unique so it works. 4. So, now you have an idea aligned with your goals, your audience's goals that is an improvement of a past idea and it's unique. What's left?- Practicality. If you invent rainbow fart out of cotton candy, I don't think there will be any use for that (other than the aesthetic- never mind). So come up with ideas that are practical and have real-world use to them. Even better if they leave big impacts. People are intrigued about the 1st moon landing not the small trials before it. So, make it have a big impact. But ofc don't get too stuck in it. Without the small steps, no big step can be taken. 5. When stuck between multiple ideas, ask for opinions. Other opinions can help you choose better. For me, if I am stuck between A and B and the popularity vote says B, only then I can understand my love for A. So in the end I just choose A. Don't be like me, be rational. Consider opinions along with data. 6. Use Chat gpt's help. DON'T COPY JUST WHATEVER IT SUGGESTS. Use it to brainstorm ideas. It can help you get to a bigger range of ideas. 7. Seek professional help and opinions too. 8. Choose the ones that are within your limit and resources. Now I, as a Bangladeshi high schooler with no money cannot hope to build the world's largest Air conditioner for all of us (even tho it gets hot as hell in summer). So, make it how you can execute it. However, if it's for an idea that'll just stay on paper or you have funds and opportunities to get more resources then DEFINITELY go for it.
