TikTok Shop - Why Your Brand Should Be Considering it
Need help for my startup
Hi Olly thanks for your early advice, we've recently made a strategic shift from Kickstarter to our own Shopify store. We've launched four marketing campaigns using a new pixel (connect with my shopify with stape installed ), and while we're seeing some initial clicks, we're still eagerly awaiting our first conversions. πŸ” Questions for the community: 1) For those who've used a new pixel, how long did it typically take to start seeing conversions? 2) Once you started seeing conversions, did the pixel better target your audience and enhance your campaigns? 3) since we are doing a seasonal product would like to seek for any advise could help or pre sale ? I have attached the screenshots of my ad account, basically I set each campaign around $25 per day , and board range targeting. Each campaigns use different creative ( all reels ) Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated as we navigate this new chapter! Thanks in advance for your support

Hey bro! Thanks for the post. Some thoughts below: 1) new pixel won’t massive effect how long its take to get purchases, it’s a lot more down to the campaigns and ad creative. I have had new accounts with new pixels fly from week 1. 2) yes. And once it has had 50 purchase events in a week it will really start to scale. 3) seasonal products - IMO always market them year round, but scale up and scale down where needed. But don’t turn things off because it can be a big set back.

How We Got 680k TikTok Views
For those looking to understand the basics of TikTok for wide reach. We are seeing this same approach across brand accounts, but I thought it would be best to use my personal account for examples. So this clip from my podcast did 680k views. It's been live for around 3 weeks, and pulls about 2-5k views a day. I only have 5.5k followers on TikTok, so it's a very new account. The biggest reason why we know this video did well was the creative, and in particular the metric 'Watched Full Video", which for this video was 41%. What we saw after posting the first version of this video, was even in low view the video needs to stay above 50% watched full video. As the video gains more and more views, this metric needs to stay high, if a video drops down below this it will stop performing. We have seen this across multiple accounts, and often refer to it as retention, but not the first few seconds the WHOLE video. How can you improve this metric in your video? Well the 2 biggest areas for us, our the on screen title, and storytelling in the video. The biggest impact we have seen across multiple accounts to improve performance is natural storytelling. Drop me a comment if you have questions!

@Sean Ap A lot of energy goes in to tracking and attribution tech stacks. I can do a video on this if you need?

@Sean Ap Hey Sean, could you write on post on the main feed with some screen shots attached so i can take a look? 1) Depends on the level of media spend, how much are you spending? 2) yeah it needs 50 events though to start getting big traction.
Facebook Pixel Match Rates (You should check yours)
This is something that has come up a lot this week with new client conversations. Facebook pixel match rates. This is the easiest thing to see. Head to "Pixels" and "View All" then click on each event within the pixel. You will likely see screenshots like the one below. So what does this all mean? As you can see in the screenshot, the match rate on this account was 2%. Which means (in simple terms) the facebook pixel is only matching 2% of the data going through it to the correct audiences. This number should be at least 95%. So how do you fix this? The best thing you can do if you are running on Shopify is engage a service like Elevar or Stape.io. You can go to them with this, and then will improve the client side and server side tracking. But why does this matter? In order to really make Facebook perform, the platform needs to have the right data to learn from, if a match rate on an event is low, Facebook won't know what audiences are performing, to what level. I honestly feel this is the most important and basic element of a good Facebook account in 2024. Drop me questions below if you have it. P.S: If you are liking the content so far, please share the group with some pals.
