What Do You Want Your Legacy To Be?
I was contemplating legacy the other day and I thought: What Do You Want Your Life To Mean? It led me to thinking about our children and roles as parents and mentors. Our children were raised on two continents and in both hemispheres. Both young adults, they are real to the core, living with integrity through and through and each a leader. I could not be more proud of and grateful for each of them. Both of our children, daughter and son, live their lives according to rich principles and core values that are sustainable and that stand up to scrutiny. Parenting is challenging enough โฆ raising leaders is a whole next level. I know that our children have everything invested in them for living well and for taking command of their lives, doing what they feel led to pursue. As they were raised (and parenting simply evolves, it never ends) โฆ I always knew that every occasion, every situation, every bump in the road was a teachable moment. Life has paid us back handsomely. Not a moment was wasted to learn from. I see this impact as a legacy, as valuable and as meaningful as anything โฆ or, indeed, much more so. And now I ask you โฆ Have you ever thought about this? What do you want your influence to be? What do you want to leave behind when youโre gone? Jewelleryโฆ a carโฆ moneyโฆ your favourite golf clubsโฆ What about a list of people whose lives you changed? Wouldnโt THAT be more meaningful? Right now you have the opportunity, with so much resource, to create a lasting impact on the lives of others, one that would even outlive you! I was amongst a group of enthusiastic learners, entrepreneurs and business people in a range of spheres, who attended the exclusive SELLING ONLINE event recently, led by Russell Brunson Those who follow his other work, too, have been hearing Russell Brunson talking quite a lot about legacy lately. What โimpressionโ do you hope to leave on the world around you? Take a moment to think about it, as every day gives us a new dawn and another chance to move towards SUCCESS in all its forms.
